Speaking of that play, why did Porter snap it prematurely, crowd noise, wrong snap count??

A false start's never been declined because you can't decline a false start.

Idk if you can. Have you ever seen a ref ask the coach? Because they normally just make the call. They normally ask coaches on other penalties

I'm pretty sure I've seen it declined on punts

I do believe they have the option to decline the play as it was allowed to play itself out.

What I am surprised about is Bama declining the 15 yard personal foul penalty on me after the fumbled snap. I was up in row 34 in the upper upper upper endzone so it is safe to say I was dropping F bombs from 35,000 feet....laughing

I did too, it was a dead ball foul, so Alabama should have never gotten the fumble...5 yrd penalty and repeat the down

that is not a false start... that is in illegal shift....

Mett clapped and lifted his leg, calling for the ball. Since Porter can't see that, the standard procedure for LSU in the shotgun is for the left guard, Alexander, to watch for the signal, and then tap Porter when he gets it. Porter's job is to snap the ball when he gets tapped. Mett gave the signal, Alexander tapped Porter, and then Mett started moving forward to change the play.

So, either Alexander misread the signal, or Mett changed his mind too late and lost awareness of the snap. Either way, Porter did exactly what he was supposed to do.

I was hoping for the false start, but I knew that if it was called on Mett, we would lose the ball.
