Don't they get paid to pick up the trash? If not, the freedom and fresh air for 2-3 hours would be enough for me.

I agree that is is sickening that people don't have any more pride or class. These same people bitch about the people of Wal-Mart and Louisiana Purchase Card users.

I agree people should clean up after themselves, but keep in mind those prisoners actually look forward to going outside and doing that. It gives them the chance to get outside and from the prison. Very true.

So just because someone else is eventually going to pick up after you, it makes it ok to act like a complete uncivilized slob? Do you also shite on the floor in bathrooms cause you know someone else gets paid to clean it up?

Walt, it's all of the trash driving in from LP and other places. Probably all sidewalk fans that never spent a day in an LSU classroom and stock up on Wal Mart gear.

j/k: I never throw anything on the ground. But of course I don't have a big tailgate set up so it's easy to just toss out whatever trash I happen to be carrying at a given time.
It looked to me while we were walking back to the car that a lot of people were busting their assess picking up their tailgates. I even mentioned it to my wife. But I guess there were areas that were still dirty today.
Maybe they estimate the succes/size of the crowd by the amount of trash left, like at Mardi Gras.

I just emptied a couple of trash bags worth of crap from my house near the parade grounds. Free trash pickup.
