Was asked about Jennings suspension and how that affected the QB race. He completely avoided the question and stated all QB's will have to come in and compete at a high level. Didn't have much to say on Harris, other than all of the QB's are working hard.

For those that think Cam has input on who the starter will be, "Les will know just who the guy is when we trot out against mcneese."

Get ready for a healthy dose of Jennings!

I don't think it's anything to freak about but it is frustrating. Jennings was the worst QB in the conference last year.

If Jennings is the starter, it's because both Miles and Cameron believe that Jennings gives LSU the best chance for victory.

if you don't think Cam has input on who his starters will be, at any position, you just don't know how football teams work.

you seem to be be misconstruing his words when he says "Les will know just who the guy is when". of course Les will know because Cam will tell him. who the starting QB will be is a staff decision with Cam and Les as the staff that make that decision.

Miles does not want a lot of media and fan heat on his coaches and protects them from it. Miles takes the blame for pretty much everything. it is just one sign that Miles is a great manager of people.

I rarely listen to coaches, and even less during the off-season, but our concern is justified.

We saw horrific QB play last year from Jennings. Barring miraculous improvement, Jennings will still be bad.

If Harris is better, we would like to have seen him come out of spring as "the guy" and have the coaches excited about him as the starter.

This "we don't know yet who the starter will be" attitude is very concerning, because if AJ is still in the mix, then that means Harris isn't markedly better and we have a problem.

By the way, I'm still a big Harris fan and hope he starts and produces on the field. I'm just concerned. Don't know why you can't acknowledge that.

He did however speak on how Harris's maturity level has increased and that he put on about 25 lbs in the offseason... The coaches aren't going to come out and blatantly say, nor do they need to, that Harris had an advantage with Jennings being out all summer.

Why should you expect an OC to give you an answer you want to hear before camp even starts?

Or maybe they don't want Harris to act entitled and to continue working hard.

Watching all these quarterback threads over and over every day, it never seems to dawn on anyone that it's actually possible that BOTH quarterbacks are better than last year. Last season was Jennings FIRST SEASON as the starter, after only really playing one full game the season before. Harris was a true freshman. I'm not surprised that neither of them were that impressive.

I honestly don't care who the starter is as long as he's better than what we had last season! To say that Jennings "is who he is" after one season starting, is assinine. Harris APPEARS to have more natural ability, but I think both guys have the physical tools to be successful. The question is, how much has EITHER improved in the mental aspect of the game. If Jennings has improved and Harris hasn't, then Jennings should start. If Harris has improved and Jennings hasn't then Harris should start. I just want the most competent guy back there. I don't care WHICH of these two is the starter.
