Etienne said he was never a college football or LSU fan growing up. He preferred being outside riding horses.

he wanted to come to LSU. He soured once Les Miles didn't recruit him.

he ran for 3k yards as a JR and Les still wasn't convinced. And you know it was because it didn't fit the mold of the big RB he always wants.

LSU will need a big back next year. The 2 young RBs are not strong enough pick up the blitz.

How much bigger is Akers than Etienne? And why did Orgeron prefer him over Etienne?

Sure ya did. Easy to say after Etienne is 3rd in the nation in YPC

I mean you can go back to recruiting board threads before either committed and you will find me saying the same thing.

Akers vs Etienne was a very discussed topic. I was always team Etienne. I have no reason to make that up. Etienne's film actually WOWs you.. Akers film never wowed me.

I am very fair and honest, not sure why you assume differently.. but feel free to search the post history if you like.

13 lbs then

1) prob thought he was better
2) limited spots remained & they had spent a lot of recruiting capital on Akers.
3) prob had confidence Etienne could be a fall back option

I can’t totally disagree with this. I would have liked to see Etienne play for us. But going to Clemson is not a bad deal. The Death Valley debate aside, Clemson, SC is in a beautiful area and from the couple of times I’ve been there, it is nice.

apparent rapid dropoff of FSU

Jimbo left the team with a worse OL than LSU has had, and a QB that wasn’t being “coached up”

he will have lost some draft stock simply by not coming here.

Come on, you don’t actually believe this? You must think NFL GMs are really thick.

more mad at LSU for banking on Akers and letting Etienne slip away.

Etienne had some loyalty to Clemson because of his family. LSU was in the game until Jaluke told him he needed LSU worse than LSU needed him. What an idiotic thing to say. Clemson offered and he was gone
