Don't you have your own computer rankings? I always like to see it and I liked the discussions that went on about it.

Yeah, I have been super busy, but I will pull it out soon. Plus, its hard to put a computer poll up the first 5 weeks - unexpected results are, well, expected and that means 6 pages of being berated by fellow posters.

If say the unlikely happens and we have Bama or LSU, Ohio State, Nebraska, and Oregon running the table then who would make it in that case? Would it depend on human ranking or would the computers favor 1 team dramatically more than the other?

1) Bama will be fine no matter what if they go undefeated. They will be #1 in the polls and probably #1 in the computers if undefeated.

2) Ohio State could be in trouble in the computers with a schedule and no conference game. But they could be #1 in the polls (which holds 2/3 weight)

3) LSU would likely be #1 in the computers if undefeated (tough SEC, tougher SEC West, 2 legit OOC conference games, and an SECCG to boot), but tough to tell what the pollsters do.

4) Oregon and Nebraska both play very legit schedules (tougher than OSU but easier than LSU).

It is way too early to tell what happens in a dog fight between LSU, Oregon, OSU, and Nebraska I think.

Belowpar,

Thank you. Come back soon. We need voices of sanity here. It gets crazy.

LSUMATT,

Still remember late 2007. Your post saying how we could still make the national championship game after losing to Arkansas was one of the greatest in TD.com history - and it all happened. Good to hear from you again.
