Wondering if I should buy in advance or will they be cheaper than stubhub and vivid seats outside the stadium? I usually buy tickets outside tiger stadium for games but everywhere is a little different. Just seeing if anyone has the scoop on this game? TIA

On the grounds of NRG Stadium you will not find any or many people selling with them up in the air like at TS. They don't allow openly selling tickets on stadium grounds. But you will find the "I need/have tickets" guys all along Kirby Drive and Main Street just off the property. If you're going to wait until gameday you and you plan on barhopping maybe ask around at the various bars in downtown and midtown.

So basically what you're saying is flpurchase before for this one? If so do you know if you can scan from iPhone at the gate? Sorry for the questions but I just don't want to get in a pickle over there.

My only real experience is for a preseason game a few years ago, I thought I would find a bunch of people selling for cheap. Didn't see anyone holding up tickets.

If it's through some service like StubHub you'll be ok scanning at the gate if they're digital delivery. I've sold LSU games in the past via this and purchase Astros tickets all the time on it. Also Stubuhub usually has a pickup area for tickets if you buy paper tickets, once they set up at hotel near NRG and another time just across 610 in a parking lot.

My paper tickets for this game have a code to scan so one would assume they can scan phones too. Just be sure to turn the brightness up all the way. That's the biggest slow down I see.

Awesome, thanks for the insight! I'm going to go ahead and scoop a couple on the web this evening once I can talk to everyone that's going with us. How bad are the 600 level seats? From pictures it doesn't look near as bad as tiger stadium upper deck plus the stadium is only capacity of 71k so I would think the highest seats shouldn't be horrible. Seeing 600 sections going for like forty dollars so that would be an easy sell. That's kind of the benefit of this game is that flights were cheap, hotel is dirt cheap, and looks like tickets will be cheap too.

Yeah I got that too and scooped up a couple upper decks. If the attendance is light we might move around.
