Bye week needs to be AFTER Bama

It was clear that the team (players and coaches) had big let down after Alabama this year. I think we should push to have the bye after Bama because it's always going to be the toughest game as long as Saban is the coach.

I would like that to be the case, but it isn't. With the playoff being more forgiving to a loss, I think the coaches could get players to recover from the loss over two weeks a lot easier.

I agree. Would probably minimize our Bama mental challenge with less than 2 weeks to stew on it. Just a regular game week.

So LSU has a mental challenge when it comes to bama???? If that's the case it won't matter when we play them.bama doesn't seem to be challenged with the extra week off. I wonder why??????

Every team that plays Bama has the same challenge. I'm just saying win or lose, LSU puts more into that game than any other game. Having an extra week to physically and mentally recover would be more beneficial than an extra week of planning in my opinion.

It's not changing anytime soon. And has been discussed several times. The team just needs to be ready to be the best they can every week. If Bama Wins they should be angry and want to prove something instead of gong into a shell. If LSU is ready to make a title run their best bye is to be rested for Bama.

If not a bye, then move one of the rent-a-win games the week after Bama. Play Ole Miss or Arkansas earlier in the season and still have the bye the week before Alabama.

Having the Bama/Arkansas/Ole Miss trio back to back is terrible scheduling. Switch State or Auburn with one of the latter two. I'm not sure if we win, but I guarantee the results of Arkansas and ole miss are vastly different if we play them earlier in the year.
