This is saying bama can get on Georgia's level. No you can't. Teams don't go from struggling to move the ball against Colorado st to being a top 10 offense. Sorry it doesn't happen

Y'all's defense in 2011 was incredible in 2011 yet have up 6000 yards to WV. It happens. And I'm not even saying it was a fluke, Alabama has things to sure up on the line and they took a huge step forward Saturday.

Both teams are under-performing, relative to the talent on the rosters. Bama seems a little more balanced, but it is shocking how bad the O line has been thus far.

Our defense probably has the most room for improvement, and a proven coordinator, but it appears the talent drain to the NFL over the past couple of years has had a more significant impact than we wanted to admit prior to the UGA game.

Honestly, if we lined up right now, I think LSU wins - but it wouldn't be pretty when Bama has the ball (and, advantage Bama, but only slightly).

However, if we have a situation where we cannot run the ball or stop Bama's running game, all the passing offense in the world won't fix it.

I give us the best chance for improving enough to win at Tuscaloosa, but Bama will still, probably, be a little better balanced, more complete team.

Alabama lost GREAT offensive linemen last year. That's what we're seeing with Alabama's line. There is no reason to believe these guys won't improve even further as the year goes on. If they don't though...well, oh shite.

I go back and forth on this. It would be a weird matchup compared to most of our games that's for sure.

This is where we disagree. There are things an offense can do to help out it's o line. Plus is a game as big as LSU vs Alabama offenses can unload everything they have. Alabama has an open week to work on throwing everything plus the kitchen sink at LSU's D. And with the weak schedule Alabama won't have to get TOO creative to hit Nov 9th undefeated.

Defenses usually are what they are after 5 6 or 7 games. Y'all will get better on that side of the ball but it's hard for defenses to get better really fast.

That's just my opinion of course. Btw good post

You can't blame it on the schedule just yet. Bama has played the harder schedule thus far and is still undefeated

Meh, it's close. Both Alabama and LSU would beat VT. But it was nice to go against a good defense in that game. And their defense is legit. #1 in the country in sacks and INTs and 2nd in yards per play.

Both would beat Colorado State. It was a blah game all around with lotsa players out and the guys who played just didn't have much fire. The I line has to improve.

Who knows who's better between Georgia and A&M. Two similar tests. Alabama should have won by more. LSU could have won vs Georgia. If LSU is more balanced they might be undefeated and if Alabama had LSU's offense they might be unstoppable. But we're all who we are right now. All that really matters is who improves going forward.

The game will be similar to our game v. Georgia: we'll be able to put up some passing yardage, although Mett will be sacked 4 or 5 times. Bama will be able to pass AND run against our defense, and that will probably be the difference. Bama 27, LSU 21.

Everyone needs to rewatch the Georgia game play by play. It is not near as bad as watching the game live when emotions are involved. The defense will get better, some of the big plays the d gave up were perfectly defended, and perfectly thrown. Pass rush is not only coaching, it is heart, determination, and film study!

I like your attitude.

I'm the same way. Look offensive line, watch some film, learn your assignment, and block a mother fricker!!!!

We gave up so many yards because our offense wasn't on the field much. We had a KO return for a td and a defensive td another defensive int that put us on the one. Also that West Va team was the best offense we played that year( maybe better than Oregon)
