If Miles is fired, we all know what the buy out will be. But what of the new guy? If he is employed, I am assuming that he has a buy out clause in his contract too.
Who is responsible for that?

After all of the traffic he is getting these past couple of weeks, I'm sure he can afford it.

If he leaves his job for LSU he wont be owed a buyout by his previous employer. Is that what you mean?

Wouldn't he be obligated to pay them something to get out of his contract?

Not all coaches have a buy out if they decide to leave. Some have a limited buy out for specifically named schools. Usually the new school agrees to cover the buy out.
