Yea. Just like idiots. Because I know you wouldn't try and make an argument that another sec west team poses a bigger threat to them year in and year out.

ETA: 9 regular season games vs. Bama since Saban arrived. 7 have been decided by single digits and 3 went to overtime. But please tell me more about how we are not their biggest threat

LSU - miles is actually in a position and does recruit well enough to take bama on strength vs strength. We just never seem to have a capable qb. you watch those games and if our qb could find the open receivers and get them the ball we could at least split our games with them. since we don't have the qb, it leaves some of us scratching our heads about the scheming. Good news - I think miles will give cam the offensive reins. we won't be much different, but we'll scheme better. better play-calling, more creativity - more dependence on the qb. like we saw against TT. yeah, it was TT, but we didn't struggle - we ran our offense like we should have, which we haven't done on a regular basis against weaker teams. I do expect qb play to start improving, one way or another. with play-calling, maturity, recruiting and competition. AND, Alabama's got nowhere to go but down. they will field a good defense next year, a top 25 defense in all likelihood, but it'll still be a dramatic drop off from the front 7 they had this year.

Auburn will ALWAYS be the team we have to beat first and foremost and our biggest "threat". Forget records, You HAVE to win that game.

We know that Ole miss is legit now and quite honestly is our biggest deal outside of Auburn, right now. Arkie, LSU and State are all about the same amount of tough.

Building a team to beat Bama..............It starts with your head coach, and I will stop right there.

Keep telling yourself that. Ark and MSU are a combined 1-19 vs. Bama since Saban arrived with the lone loss in 2007 vs. MSU. LSU is tied with Auburn with most wins against Bama with 3.

I bet you lurk and post in threads on Arkansas and Miss St. boards too.. one day after winning another national title no less

I am not delusional, but I do kniw that Saban considers LSU as his biggest threat and that he understands that beating LSU gives him inroads into Louisuana.

No we don't.

Saban doesn't overlook LSU
He doesn't overlook anyone, but there is no special LSU package, or LSU recruiting going on. You know why I know? His teams look just like the LSU teams he had here.

That's why we are probably done beating Bama until he's gone
We will beat them this year if White and Beckwith stay. He is a great coach, he isn't infallible.

You're the third poster to refute this and offer no counter arguments. Name another sec west team that poses a bigger threat to them year in and year out. You can't.

Step one - out recruit him - especially bigger, stronger, and faster linemen.

I disagree.
Saban builds his team around his players and their strengths.

Saban has LSU stickers all around their weight room with previous LSU/Bama games playing on all the tv's. Every month of the year. Don't act like he isn't concerned with LSU. A senior on their team said beating LSU this year was the most emotional post game experience he's witnessed at Alabama. Saban is concerned primarily with LSU every year, and THEN he worries about the post season.

Anyone who thinks that Saban's motivation or philosophy is centered around beating a mediocre and underachieving LSU program is the ultimate homer.

2007-2011 this might have been true, but Les and the staff got lazy in the past couple of years. Saban can now play LSU straight up and close To the vest and win 9/10 times.

LSU has fallen far behind bama and is now fighting with Ole Miss and Arkansas to be second best--not a good sign that he's lost 2/3 to Ole miss and Arkansas.

Ole Miss.

Jesus Christ, he changed his ENTIRE offensive philosophy to keep up with Aggie after losing their, he has left Kiffin completely in charge to face Clemson and Ole Miss lately. He has made changes in how he builds his team to defeat teams that specifically do the OPPOSITE of LSU.

He has made no changes to the teams he fielded at MSU, LSU or Bama to beat us.

If LSU wants to beat Bama then Miles NEEDS to do a lot of the same things that Saban does....like not allow so many underclassmen to leave early to be drafted in the mid to late rounds or as a UFA. Saban actually educates his players on how to deal with agents.

In most years, I'd say that our athletes match up to Bama's pretty well......the difference???....Saban can take a fair QB and make him a good one, while ours usually just remain "fair".....the other difference???.....attention to detail and lack of mistakes.......Les will never be able to match Saban on those two counts......

As long as Saban is there, we might beat them 2 out of 10 years.....maybe....
