IMO, being nervous about the RPI is not the same thing as "does not want to play the game."
He's probably nervous about the RPI if we lose 2 or 3 games vs aTm but he's not advocating we don't play those games.

no doubt. it requires reading between the lines but the only way he could have been more clear is if he had come right out and said it. its obvious he doesnt want to play.
i wonder what our rpi would be without alcorn, grambling, and southern.
Fitt did that with Arkansas and took out their swac opponents and their rpi was like top 5.

All I'm saying is the whole RPI talk about one midweek game is much ado about nothing. SEC series carry so much more weight - the bottom line always has and always will be to win those.

I dont think he'll cancel the game unless it has to be cancelled. And raining at noon certainly isnt grounds.

It just puzzles me that someone like Mainieri, who is conscious of things like RPI, continues to schedule teams like this.

Russian, I know you like arguing with these guys, but surely you see that this is not a valid comparison. Being nervous about losing games affecting your RPI is not the same as not wanting your RPI to be lowered simply by playing a game.
