We play Ole Miss after they have to face Bama, @A&M, and Tennessee. Auburn is the 5th team of the stretch for them. I feel like that bodes well for us.

Them playing a lot of backups was supposed to be good for us last year. You can't sleep on any team on any week in the SEC.

It will be the 9th game of the year for LSU without a bye.

Last year they were coming off a grueling three game losing streak with multiple players out injured and still played maybe their best SEC game of the year.

Les needs to start treating this game like a real rivalry, like they do.

You would think, but until our team treats Ole Miss like a rivalry like they do us year in and year out and the way we used to look at Ole Miss as a rivalry when I was growing up, you can rest assured its always going to be a tough game.

LSU doesn't need to treat this game like a rivalry because it will never be a real one but as long as they take it seriously, we should win fairly comfortably

I feel like this is the one year Ole Miss could go toe to toe with BAMA.

Nevertheless, LSU always seems to sleep on OM. I don't see this year being any different.

I have this feeling that were going to start blowing out teams we should blow out. For once.

Ninth game without a bye for us. We "may" be Bama's biggest game each year from a competitive standpoint. We're not Florida's biggest game, we're not Auburn's biggest game. We ARE the biggest game for Ole Miss. Every Ole Miss coach and player knows they have to beat LSU and MS State to have a successful season. It's huge for them. But when the game rolls around, many on this board will say "it's just Ole Miss." Seems the players have felt the same way for the last decade.

They play us tough at home. Really depends on our team as well. If we get a string of injuries like 2012, all games will be tough. And a 2 loss team can turn to 4-5 like uga.

Were you in a coma in 2008?

We got our asses kicked last year by them at the end of a tough 4 game stretch and they literally had half of their starters out to injury.

If Les can't figure out a way to beat Freeze this year we have a major problem on our hands.

That 2008 game was an embarrassment.

Why should LSU beat OM soundly this year? LSU is starting a bunch of freshman on both sides while OM has the most experienced talent since 2008, when they dominated LSU in Tiger Stadium. If anything OM should be favored.

In 2008, LSU lost very badly to Ole Miss at home. Then followed it up the next year by blowing it in Oxford with the famous clock incident that created more anti-Les Milers than anything else in his career probably.

Try to downplay Ole Miss. as a rival does't compute. They've been a rivalry for a long time. This is their superbowl every year and they are always a pain,, and come to play.
