I can see why you’d say that but I’ve had the misfortune of catching him in a lie before and he didn’t react well to it. Instead of amending or admitting he misspoke or didn’t have all the facts he showed his worst side and it’s as bad as any here. Now even if I agree with him on a topic he’ll start shite. He’s as bad a poster as there is.

Although this article is from Feb. 2018, it’s by our old friend Pat Forde of Yahoo!
It’s long, but worth a read.
LINK
Forde treats Auburn and Pearl in a softer way.
“And Pearl himself has declined to sit down for a formal interview with the law firm Auburn hired to conduct its internal investigation of the basketball program”.
Forde uses the word “declined “not REFUSED, the word used to describe Will Wade.
“ With five members of the program impacted by the federal investigation and/or NCAA rules, and with Pearl already having endured an NCAA show-cause penalty for violations committed while the coach was at Tennessee, and with the coach currently unwilling to completely play ball with the school’s own investigation”.
“The principals involved cannot or will not say much about the particulars of the situation. Athletic director Allen Greene has only been officially on the job since Feb. 1, which for now keeps him above the fray. School president Steven Leath offered written answers to questions about Pearl from Yahoo Sports”
That’s the way your university admin should be handling this situation.
Forde goes on to say:
“This is Auburn, a school with a remarkably high tolerance for scandal, the kind of place that would never let a major investigation get in the way of a great season”.
Good grief!
“We clearly have some sensitive issues to work through with the NCAA and related to the actions of the former assistant coach,” Leath told Yahoo Sports. “Coach Pearl and I talk regularly, and I’ve repeatedly told him we want him as our coach. Auburn basketball has an exciting future.”
Admin, clearly has his back, because they want to succeed.
Here’s another, newer, Yahoo! article, from when Pearl got a contract extension:
LINK
And before anyone says that there is nothing directly pointing to Pearl, it seems that he is still responsible for what his assistants do. Pay attention to this from the NCAA Rules:
Bylaw 11.1.1 states:
“[A]n institution’s head coach is presumed to be responsible for the actions of all assistant coaches and administrators who report, directly or indirectly, to the head coach. An institution’s head coach shall promote an atmosphere of compliance within his or her program and shall monitor the activities of all institutional staff members involved with the program who report, directly or indirectly, to the coach.”
Quote from collegeandprosportslaw.com:
“Plausible deniability is a poor strategy to rebut Head Coach Responsibility allegations. The “I didn’t know it was going on” excuse will do little to rebut the presumption of accountability”.
It’s doesnt matter that these articles are old.
Point is NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN THE PEARL/AUBURN SITUATION SINCE THEN and the FBI investigation continues.
It’s long, but worth a read.

Lester you are probably the most disliked poster on this board and for good reason. You constantly say absolutely stupid shitt. You now have been caught lying and are backtracking.
Dude we don't give a damn what you say. You have zero credibility and no one cares about you or your opinion. We all do care about LSU and we dislike liars who pose as LSU fans. So just get the fuk outta here you sorry maggot.

This pretty important here. Auburn has been placed on probation 8 times in football and 3 times in basketball. They may play with fire, but they don't necessarily prevail all too often either. People like to bring up Cam, but they could never stick anything to Auburn after multiple attempts. But the NCAA has hammered Auburn athletics plenty as well. And with Bruce Pearl, a coach who has already suffered a show cause previously, I'm not so sure them acting so cavalier about the current situation is the best move by their AD. i guess only time will tell, but I wouldn't go as far as saying Auburn has good leadership within their athletic department simply because they're not suspending Pearl right now. As such, I wouldn't expect the NCAA to do Auburn any favors if push comes to shove.

There aren’t any changes between that “updated” article and the original article written in 2017. Looks like someone bumped an old article
