LINK

- LSU travels to Oxford this Saturday to face Ole Miss. Kickoff at 5pm CT. Game will be on ESPN.

- LSU leads the overall series with Ole Miss, 65-42-4.

- Jayden Daniels named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Arkansas... LINK...becomes only 6th player in FBS history with over 10,000 passing yards and over 2,000 rushing yards.

- LSU at Missouri on October 7th: 11am CT on ESPN

- Kelly proud of team's perseverance at end of 2nd qtr, after being down 13-3.

- Also proud of how defense clamped down after fake FG to hold the Hogs to just a field goal.

- Realizes team has issues to correct

- On broken plays on defense: said Mike linebacker needs to notice the zone being flooded and get over to cover open receivers.

- On Brian Thomas: he will continue to get more targets at Nabers gets more attention.

- Kelly thinks defense has a lot of potential...just needs to "do the ordinary extraordinarily well"...players may be trying to do too much...players need to focus on their own job, and not their job and others' jobs.

- On De'Shawn Womack: he is young and will be really good...but has to continue to do the little things the right way...we will see more of him, but not ready to start.

- Defense doesn't need major overhaul...they just tend to lose focus.

- On Maason Taylor: was playing at 60-70% against Arkansas...just needs to get the full strength

- Regarding the end of the game time management: says LSU wasn't going to score the TD.

- On Andre Sam: big improvements since FSU game...very coachable and plays with great energy.

- On roughing the passer penalty on Harold Perkins: Kelly doesn't think it was a penalty.

- Injury Report: no one is listed as worst than "Probable"

- On DL Jordan Jefferson: he's twitchy and extremely strong...will get more looks at nose tackle on 3-down defense...coach loves his physicality.

LSU has things to fix just like every other team does. Liked the success of LSU’s running game and passing. Impressed by LSU defense holding Hogs to 3 points, that was a critical stop.
Noted that LSU has to do ordinary things extraordinarily well, and Kelly thinks that the defense can and will.

He is so full of shite

Why run the ball then? You can kneel the ball starting with first down and run the clock completely out

And lol saying we weren’t trying to score. Our offensive lineman are pushing the damn pile

What does that have to do with the stupid execution of timeouts and plays being run to leave time on the clock when you didn’t have to.
Kneel on the ball dumbass.

I thought the adults were in charge and we wouldn’t have les miles issues and yet here we are Mismanaging the clock and refusing to play the most talented players.

Correcr. His explanation makes him look absolutely retarded

So he says they didn’t want to score. So he is saying he ran the ball and risked fumbling just for fun, and decided to leave 5 seconds when he could have left zero just for fun as well

Awesome

No, just need to remove Major. Ryan Gosling levels of liability out there.

So they are going to keep doing the same vanilla, predictable stuff on 3rd down and hope for a different result, even against talented QBs.

Jefferson was way more impactful and played with more energy than Smith.

I like BK, but he doesn't like to be questioned sometimes and just gives BS answers like that.

I’m so sick of the “He’s not ready” BS from BK. Womack needs to start. You’re experienced DE that looks like a body builder sucks!!!

I bet they would be ready to play quicker...if they actually got to play.

he's use to having to redshirt freshmen.

Maybe he’s not ready…. He’s lucky he didn’t get a personal foul for shoving KJ back to the ground when trying to get up.

BK has shown that he absolutely will play young players if he thinks they are better than what they’ve got. Will Campbell, Emery Jones, Harold perkins, Mason Taylor, west weeks, lance heard. Hell, Aaron Anderson and Kaleb Jackson get a ton of reps too.

It’s some rant myth that he “values experience” and won’t play younger players.

I don’t buy the lose focus comment. They lose focus an awful lot for players at this level. He pulled a lot of coachspeak out in that presser. Maybe he’s trying to shield some of the defensive players which is fine but it also tells us he doesn’t think they have anyone better to put in.
