So basically he scraps Perkins as a passer rusher because that won’t help get to the NFL. Perkins passing rushing ability is infinitely more important to LSU than him as a linebacker. He’s LSU’s 2nd highest NIL football player, but hey let’s worry about the NFL.

Harold Perkins should be played at the best position that maximizes an LSU win. Anything else said is stubbornness and stupidity.

This 100%. I wish Jacques would have pressed him. That he said it is a nothing-burger. Not owning it when you said it less than a week ago AND the audio is online for everyone to hear...that is weak. All he had to say was that he meant no disrespect and was just trying to get fans excited.

So basically what we are getting out of this presser is

CBK didn’t have his players prepared properly
CBK is worried about what position Perkins will play in the NFL
Our OL is dog shite as it stands today
Our DBs are dog shite as it stands today

What did they do all off-season?

Yes, he did appear to get a little defensive when ask about creativity or the lack thereof and said it made no difference if you do your job ? It’s a legitimate issue and question that cannot just be smoothed over with a cavalier response. Trying something over and over again that is not working for whatever reason is not smart coaching !

Best part of the rant is listening to our fans share their infinite wisdom of coaching. I would like to know where our team leaders on the field are being vocal to other players not doing their dam jobs.Burrow and company would get on that arse on the offensive side while Queen got on that arse on the defensive side. They led the teams to victory. At some point someone on the field has to step up and take control.
What I witnessed Sunday night was some pre-Madonna bullshite with zero accountability on the players getting after it.
FSU got a ton of penalties for unsportsmanlike but they set the tone and made that arse quit by halftime. Like it or hate it, LSU players better start learning to make that arse quit like Burrow and Queen did on the field.

Disgusting. BK is paid $10mil/year to win football games at LSU. That’s what he needs to be worried about

I know. And I think you’re always going to have a couple players like that. My concern is that it was a huge portion of the team and that’s a serious problem. That’s all on coaching and setting up the mental preparation.

F that, man. If LSU thought they were going to win by 10+ points with FSU being better than they were last season then I don't know what the F they were thinking and it showed. I even saw W Campbell getting worked at times in the game, especially when Verse was hellbent on blowing up plays. He literally blew past him untouched early in the game. If there is not significant improvement in games 2 & 3, and 2 is a gimme, then this team isn't going to enjoy much of the rest of the season.

I just spent a good minute reading all y'all's posts and I agree with most of y'all but here's what I think is going on... It's a cultural thing... I grew up in Cajun country and have lived my adult life in the West (not the left coast)... For the first time I'm starting to think he doesn't understand Louisiana culture. Louisiana/LSU culture embodies tenacity, ruthlessness, brashness, eagerness, no excuses, etc... Every single time I leave my house and go to the bar the locals here say I'm too loud, argumentative, slightly arrogant and abrasive. All the while I've got a smile on my face buying drinks and encouraging that Louisianimal instinct we all understand... Judging by the way he's coached the team over the off season, it seems he doesn't understand that. And considering he's used to Notre Dame that kinda makes sense. I'm truly worried now. If he doesn't learn what it's like to roll around in the Louisiana swamp, love getting dirty, and fight for fight's sake, then we are in serious trouble. We all know Coach O didn't have the aptitude, but he did yell, bark, fight, and still want more. Coach Kelly better learn really quick what it's like to be a Louisiana baw!

Did he address the failed QB situation at all??
I haven’t seen one comment suggesting his love affair with 5 yard passing and QB indecision and fear has been addressed!
Do not let this 10 million dollar man off the hook!

To open up the running game you have to throw the ball down the field. JD doesn't do that. GN13 will trow it down the field if Kelly would just play him.

That swamp man y'all made fun of would not have lost that game Monday night! Coach O had his boys ready for war EVERY GAME! Brian Kelly ain't Fam-uh-lee and don't know SEC football or southern culture to relate to these kids!
