If Tharold Simon can improve his hands and actually snag those ints he drops, he'll be the next nationally recognized lsu freak. He is the evolution of the cb to match up with the Calvin Johnson/Andre Johnson's of the world.

I would predict Simon to breakout in 2012.

Think it's way too early to label Rasco as a bust. I learned my lesson when I even asked if Tahj Jones was overrated--now look, he is developing into at least an above average linebacker.

But another player who should not be forgotten is the other freshman corner, David Jenkins, who was one of the better cover corners in Texas as a high school senior a few years ago.

think basically we cant miss with whoever new winds up on d!! No.1 defense minimum 3 future first rounders , whoever new gets on the field will shine . most stacked i have ever seen an lsu defense.

DE-Rasco. Will play a lot and have every opportunity to make a big impact

DT-Freak. He will begin his ascent to a top 10 pick this year
Also think Ferguson will have a good year

LB- Tahj Jones. This kid is likely th most talented LB returning. If he holds up size wise then he'll be very good.

CB-Tharold Simon. Already pretty highly regarded but if he keeps his head right, he'll be the 3rd top 10 CB in 3 years
David Jenkins will also make his mark

S-Loston if he stays healthy. Also expect Martin to show out.

Don't really have a reason but I think Rasco is going to make some noise this year.

Where is this Rasco is a bust crap coming from? Some moron? Or is that sarcasm? Rasco played as a true freshman on the number 1 team in the nation, behind a daunting DE lineup of Montgomery, Mingo, Allen and Edwards. He appeared to play ahead of Jordan Allen, Aghayere and Macklin, each of which was highly rated and had been in the program at least a year before him.

When he did play, Rasco seemed dominant. He was extremely quick and strong. He played in 9 games, had 17 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks in limited action. That is not a bad true freshman year with the above listed players above him on the depth chart. His future appears to be extremely bright. I believe he will be a star.

It would be too hard to back another year like he had.

You have to follow statements like that with "sarcasm" or people wont get it.
