RELAX Brandon Harris will be the starter next year. His experience that he garnered this past season is more valuable than everyone thinks. Not many true freshman qb's come into the SEC and light the world on fire.

The second year is when you see Qb's take advantage of a year in their respective program and see the light bulb click. I firmly believe this will happen with Harris

Have you compared their stats? He did "go out and beat him"! Remember genius, they named him STARTER.

Now what? You're gonna say he had a bad game? Did AJ have any bad ones after that? Try this, he was statistically in the bottom 10% of all college qbs.

Brandon Harris should be named starter before spring. Make AJ earn the spot back! We have a sample of his stats and skills. BH still isn't realized

ALL OF THIS. Miles is the ONLY coach in the nation that would have kept Harris on the bench like that all season. Team Harris. I don't understand some of yalls logic.

We are in the same position as last year. BH should've have played significant minutes in every game after the Auburn game. So we wait another year to help him get that experience and composure that he lacked this year. BH is our best chance to win hands down.

If grasping the playbook was his downfall, that was another CLM Cam fail. That would suggest that AJ did grasp the playbook and judging his gameplay, we should have gone with the best pure playmaker.

That's the $64K question. It surely wasn't due to Jennings' performance. Something else was going on for Harris to not see any playing time.

Miles repeatedly stated he planned to get Harris into the game and then repeatedly stated the opportunity never presented itself. I love Miles but that was simply a lot of BS.

Same line Miles repeated with JL in 2011. It's just Miles speak.

If Harris didn't get quality time down the stretch as badly as AJ played, it's something beyond performance. I think the staff just didn't want any part of a controversy.

Miles treats and handles QBs as carefully as the handling of nitro glycerin. Smart coaches keep the QBs focused. If someone struggles for a few series, their butt is coming out, and the other guy gets a chance.

Hell, Spurrier, Kelly, and Meyer would alternate whenever it makes sense. Nobody can say Miles does anything to keep his QBs focused and happy. If a guy craps the bed one time, he has lost faith. At the same time, if a guy is simply serviceable enough to take a snap, he might play game after game while being, as he himself indicated, painful to watch.

The more I think about it the more obvious it becomes, but many will still say Harris is immature, or he is this or that. He may be, but we did not have a quarterback performing remotely like a starting QB, and Miles fiddled while Rome burned, and yes 8/5 is enough of a burn for me.

Yeah, that's an extremely stupid thing for a Coach to say. His opinions mean absolutely dick. His job is to support his player, that's all. If Brandon wants to transfer support him. If he wants to stay at LSU, support him. He can stick his opinions up his arse.

GG thinks coaching QBs straight out of HS is out of the league of a coach like Cam Cameron who molded many good QBs in the league...

God that dude is a fricking idiot. How does anyone read his shite and how does he still have a job writing about it?

But I do think he handled the QB situation very poorly this year

I put just as much blame on BH as I do the way LM handled the situation.

I don't understand why people don't get this. The evidence is mounting that the only person holding back Brandon Harris is Brandon Harris.

I think it is the 10 yrs of failure in selection and development of THOSE signed out of high school is the issue. Of course there is going to be all this stuff going on we see because the foundation of the selection and training is a failure.

You can speculate till the Cows Come Home but if you don't have a good foundation, which includes ability to develop from ground zero out of High School, then forget it. It is like trying to fix a golf shot and focusing on how the ball is made, rather than the grip and swing.

Anyone who doesn't think Harris should've gotten in the Arkansas game is a full blown retard.

Whatever is going on with Harris, his coach mouthing off to the press is NOT going to help the situation at all. People are going to see those comments and assume Harris has a bad attitude.

Bingo he's not ready yet.....

PS. This shite is gonna be epic if Jennings starts next year. I'd love to see him start first game just for the melt!!!

This is what's wrong with a lot of you guys. Some of you want us to trot out one of the worst QB's in the FBS and watch our offense look like a bag of dicks just to watch a bunch of anonymous strangers on the internet melt down. My mind is boggled when I hear a pumper say shite like that. "I hope Les does it just for the melt!!1"

And your opinion of me I couldn't give 2 fu**s about

BH wants to be the man? Then do what needs to be done on/off the field and it'll happen.

I heard him on Fletch's show this morning. He said he was trying to get him to transfer to a Juco.

Your telling a true sophmore, that will be competing for the QB job at LSU, to transfer? Couldn't believe what I was hearing.

Not defending the guy, but I am pretty sure that Harris is telling him details about his situation that most on here have no idea about, and thus is his opinion. Just because Les started Harris against Auburn doesn't mean jack.

The fact that after the Auburn game, Harris barely played despite the poor performance of the player he was vying against for the position tells a lot more.

Realistically, the kid has been getting bashed by people defending Miles and Cam with hearsay just as much as he's been getting support with fans against Miles and Cam basing it on historical trends.

In the end, maybe not the best thing to come out publicly and state, but I fully understand him thinking what might be best for his player. Harris wasted a year of eligibility this season, and for what?

The problem was that after Auburn, Harris was nonexistent. At least get him some important game time.

This is ludicrous

Do you have any idea how many true freshman QB's come in and start, Day 1, at a major D-1 Program like LSU?

He got to practice. ....got game time action.....took some lumps

We don't know exactly WHY he didn't see field much after AU, whether it was right or wrong.

BH controls his own destiny and he needs to work his arse off to get the starting job. I sincerely hope he does.

What evidence do you have to back up that he wasn't doing what needed to be done on and off the field?! His 9 touchdowns compare to Jennings 11 touchdowns tells me all I need to know about who has what it takes to be the starter. All that fricking time Jennings has played and he only managed two more touchdowns than the guy who rode the pine the vast majority of the season. I damn sure wouldn't want you or Les Miles evaluating efficiency for me.
