Harris on last year: "I take full responsibility for last year. I was terrible. I was bad. Didn't live up to expectation." #LSU
I don't think I've ever heard a player speak this harshly about himself. Hopefully he has improved

Breath of fresh air after JJ's response to poor performances
It's good to have high expectations for yourself

Harris comes across as being very level headed. Nothing wrong with that in a QB.

That sounds good...owning up to one's failures...though I think he was a little rough on himself...he wasn't the only one not giving 100% last year...but now the stage is set for a new breath of fresh air...if the team has a mind-set with a "want" to be a champion, then all will be fine with me...jmho

Fify.
Harris was #2 in the league before his sports hernia. If he has marginal improvement and stays healthy, we'll win a championship.

The only reason people are so critical of Harris is because of AJ and JJ. He has had to fight an up hill battle from the start, I think he proves himself as a reliable starter this year. People forget that he was a true sophomore, first year starter last year.
Big jumps occur in first to second year as a starter

Very mature way to handle it. He knows he has to lead this team and what the expectations are. I think he will have a great year honestly. Rooting hard for him.

What freshmen standing out during #LSU summer workouts? First name Harris brings up: Drake Davis.
"Freak."

He went from saying he should've scored 10 touchdowns in the 2014 spring game to saying he was awful and everything was his fault after Auburn that year. He's very far from level headed. Even now he's far too critical of himself by attempting to take full responsibility for last year when he obviously didn't hurt the team any more than anyone else did.
He's got so much talent but I really wish he would stop being so hard on himself.
ETA: And we really need to stop lauding him when he's tearing himself down like this.

The WR hauls in the last two years have been ungodly. Johnson, Ferguson, Dillon, Anderson, Sullivan, and Davis are going to be lethal.

Honestly, no matter what he does next season and the season after, I'll always respect this kid. Knock on wood, he hasn't had any issues on or off the field. His play has been arguably sub par. But I feel as though he's going to have a break out season.
We don't even need him to play lights out. If he can limit turnovers, hit his guys in stride (without them getting blown up), and use his legs to pick up yards... Watch out
This will be a special season

I really think the new WRs will go a long way in bailing out the QB when they need to. There were times last year were Harris would get in a little groove then miss someone like Dural or Quinn when he was in there or Tyron by 6 inches. That same pass would hit these taller WRs in the chest. It's tough for a 6'3 QB to have to throw over 6'3-6'6 OL and hit a 6'0-6'1 WR. Especially from inside a pocket.

The comment I posted on the Home page:
The Tigers' troubles last year certainly aren't all Harris' fault. But this statement is a MAN statement. It shows humility, ownership, responsibility, self-challenge. In Les' lingo, Harris has CHEST!! Great character. The seed of Glory is Humility!

Taking full responsibility for the failures in a TEAM sport is not a man statement.

Sho ain't my fault he did not do his due diligence OR believed a crazed sideline OC-Wannabe had him distracted!!
Let CC stand on the sidelines and get a P&G straight jacket for OC-W

Drake Davis will be a special teams demon.
I think Les needs to be more involved in coaching the special teams, that area should be an advantage for LSU with the talent on this current roster.
