Not hype, IMO. I think its more of "can this guy please be half way decent so we don't go through another IOWA game and 2008 - 2011 all over again."
Its really people trying to be very optimistic so the train wreck outside of Mett at QB doesn't continue.

Before seeing where he would fit into the offense, Russell Shepard was the most hyped. Esp after seeing Lee in his frosh year with JJ as back up/ eventual starter.

I actually think they hype has been pretty tame for Brandon Harris all things considered.. plus Fournette himself is taking away so much attention..
