Jennings and B Harris will battle it out.

Of course Jennings has the upper hand to start and I hope he comes in and keeps his job.

But, B Harris is a stud an can fricking sling it like Mettenberger.

Would not be surprised if he wins the job.

I caught some of the UnderArmor practices on ESPN and all 4 of the "experts" evaluating Harris' practices said he needs a lot of work on his accuracy. So I am assuming that is where all these comments are coming from. And he looked almost skinny. Coach Cam will have had almost 8 mths with him before any decision has to be made, Moffett as well. Don't rush the kid & let the competition play out.

Rettig didn't come here to sit on his arse. He's going to make a push along with Harris. Rivers is serviceable. Why is Bolden on our team?

This kind of shite makes some CFB fans so one track minded.

Rivers is not serviceable, maybe if we were in the SLC.

There will be open competition for the QB position this spring. As of now, the job is Jenning's to lose if for no other reason, his performance at the close of last year.

Brandon is a very talented QB and his accuracy, though not equal to his other skills, is not as bad as some think and of all the QB attributes, may be the easiest to correct. He is quick on his feet, throws the tightest, fastest-rotating spiral I've seen in a long time, and was the very first recruit hand-picked by CC on the spot first time he saw him.

Bottom line, competition will be open & staff will put best chance to win on the field. To those saying BH will redshirt well, he might but it's a long shot. A lot of credible people, Mike Dettilier included, say Harris will be starting before the year is out & it wouldn't surprise me at all. Best news is, the QB position is in the hands of young, talented & highly teachable kids supported by a running game to take some of the early year pressure off.

I don't think Jennings can redshirt now unless there is a medical issue

I think Jennings wins the job, but Harris will make a push. He's too physically talented not to. Better arm and legs than Jennings.

Jennings arm stength is a major concern to me. Seems like most of his passes float. That could easily cause INT issues.

We need a truly open competition.

A. Jennings will get comfortable and coach cam will trust him a little more. I think Rettig pushes AJ all spring and into the fall, where AJ's legs just makes more plays. Rettig A really solid #2 ... B.Harris will be a great one!!! But Coach Cam and Moffit have plans for B.Harris...

We have the offensive talent now that needs a pro style QB, not a dual threat

You want Fournette being a pro style RB, not some read option back...also with Dural and Dupre with Quinn in the slot, that also screams pro style

Harris has a long way to go before he starts a game. Accuracy is still a major issue for him.

ive said this for months and got my head cut off for it....he is a raw player and has alot to learn.
Can't say anything negative, even if it's the truth) or the Fartknocker X-Box Brigade will get their panties all in a wad. The DTQB Jock Sniffers are particularly sensitive to criticism of their worshipped gods.

BTW, there's no way either JennJesuSwag or HarriSwag sit the bench for 3 or 4 years while the other plays. Something has to give.

It's Jennings job to lose. Y'all are kidding yourselves if you think otherwise

No offense Hugo, but let CC make that call after spring and fall drills.

I'm amazed(I shouldn't be anymore) at what some of you all think. I have news for you. They are all good quarterbacks. If he starts, he will have progressed incredibly fast. Jennings and Rettig are both extremely talented and game ready. I'm not saying they are not young and would not make mistakes. I'm saying they are both in positions to lead the team to victory consistently. Rettig has a cannon arm. Trust me, I've seen it. Jennings is more mobile, but most of you would be quite shocked how mobile Rettig actually is. They are both accurate. They are both dedicated to learning and becoming better. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Les knows what he want to do and both of these guys can get the job done. Both are great kids too.

That is correct, Hill and a huge dose of the run actually hurt Jennings in the bowl game if I may say so. Handing off a million times before the first pass made his confidence hit bottom. Hell, when they threw him in the fire against Ar-Kansas he produced an amazing game winning drive. When he had a month to prepare they had NO TRUST in him. I have to say Les had his arse in this game preparation. I think they even told him not to scramble because he looked sad against avoiding the rush. He looked like a current Jared Lorenzen, who is still QB at 330 pounds!!!

Should have had a killer mix gameplan and beat the crap out of Iowa, but we kept an inferior team close to having an upset as it was one score game toward the end when we dominated them with our defense, but kept them in the game with our inept 3 and out offense. That is what I saw!!!

Harris is 6'3 and 195 which is ok for a WR, but not a QB. He'll need a year to bulk up. Harris has some the same problems Mett had in 2012 which were taken care of in an offseason. He should be ready to go next year if need be. IMO, it's Jennings/Rettig Battle. Jennings has the upperhand with game experince though, so Rettig will be in catch up mode.
