This, I guess is still in response to the "What does Harris do that Jennings can't" thread that I don't want to bump.
Mostly, I just want to show Harris some more love, because (besides Mett in 2013) I have not felt so comfortable watching an LSU offense operate in a long time (including Mett in 2012 and the 2011 offense). I am certain that this team would not be the same without him at the helm.
Something that hasn't been discussed ad nauseam is Harris' runs so far this season. Granted, they are limited, but to be able to break a 20 yarder a game is a great pressure relief for Fournette. I thought his short TD run vs Auburn was as spectacular as that run could be and showed much more savy than anytime I've seen Jennings run the ball.
I'm glad we didn't run more with him vs Syracuse and risk injury. The kid is doing everything right and it's also a relief to see a guy who is actually progressing and not trying to do too much. He is doing exactly what the coaches are asking him to do, and it'll pay dividends. I think it already has.

BH is operating very efficiently. He's making quality decisions, and he has a good comfort in the pocket and good pocket presence.

It reminds me of AJ Mccarron at Bama in 2011 actually. Not so much in style of play, but in how the coaches are giving him more and more each week to let him do the things he does well. AJ was a a big liability for that loaded team during the middle of the season, but by the end he became a weapon. I look for Brandon to make a similar jump this season.

"Brandhon" is the lovechild of Brandon Harris And Rohan Davey

I don't think people appreciate his value in being both a runner and a passer. People get caught up in seeing other QBs throwing for 300 yards etc., but you are exactly right. His ability to run, his ability to throw and his decision making are the very reason Leonard has been able to go off so far (that and our great O-line).

Agreed. I personally couldn't care less if he keeps putting up current numbers, as long as he doesn't turn it over and keeps defenses honest.

I too like Brandon Harris

Agreed for sure. The spotlight is on LF but I think we'll see him progress rapidly. The next 2 years he will be a force to be reckoned with.

I think this is as short and on point as could be.

It will be Harris' legs, NOT Fournette's, that bail us out of a tough situation late in a game(s) come November.

I don't like the straight QB run calls. He seems to be at his best rolling out and giving him the option to pass/run.

I'm more worried about our receivers more than Brandon harris.

Good Guy Brandon Harris

I think LF is a great player in CFB. Maybe the very best one at any position and no doubt top 5. However, Harris is crucial to LSU's hopes this year!
