BR paper- First impressions, LSU seems to have more answers… they look crisp

The Advocate - First impressions from several sports reporters. LSU seems to have more answers than questions.
Alexander - There is such a stark difference from where this team was at the same time last year. We know who LSU has offensively instead of tracking a quarterback competition and trying to follow how the offensive linemen will shakeout.
Rabalais- I’ve covered when LSU has gone 2-9…and when they won national championships… and it’s hard to gain a lot from practice between the two. I will say, they look crisp. I didn’t hear a lot of shouting how things weren’t done right.
Mickles - Paul Skenes has a good fastball, but Harold Perkins looks the part at everything he does.

Them running tempo offense on day 2 of practice tells me everything I need to know about their conditioning and understanding assignments.

His Heisman odds are at +15000. He had 7.5 sacks and didn’t actually start playing consistently until the ole miss game well over halfway through the season. It wouldn’t hurt to bet a few dollars on him just in case.( $25 bet pays $3,770)

This is a ridiculous statement. There's a bunch of future NFLers out there doing drills that were not there when we were "2-9" and it's obvious

Going to be a battle out there, but my money will be on two guys who did not play significant roles last year putting us over the top. M. Smith and H. Perkins. They will make enough plays on D to get us off the field and likely force FSU to put the ball on the turf or in the hands of our DBs.

FSU also got a warmup game against Duquesne. They got to work out the inks over 4 quarters of actual football, while LSU did not. And LSU only showed up for one half of that game and lost on an extra point try. If LSU had played Southern week one, THEN played FSU, it would have been LSU by 14.

You're comparing them to who they were last year.
Yeah, I think this LSU team steamrolls 2022 FSU. But they had a ton of changes like transfers, recruits, chemistry etc. just like us.
Both teams seem to have improved vastly. I wouldn't sleep on them at all. But do think we get the DUB.
