Will have potentially 2 more games on Fournette as well

@McMurphyESPN: Derrick Henry now Heisman favorite over Leonard Fournette via @BovadaLV. Odds: Henry 3-2, Fournette 2-1, Elliott 7-1, Coleman & Watson 8-1

It's just hype. Leonard will regain his position, but the output of last week does not help.

I don't see how anyone who watched that game could penalize LF for that. He never had a chance in that game, and that was not his fault in any way, shape or form.

He could run for 250 or more when yall play A&M.

Following which he'll go on to that Hall of Fame career that all Alabama RBs have......Oh, wait a minute.

I thought Drake was a better player than Henry, but they didn't let Drake run it 40 times.

Arky has some big boys in the middle. If LF doesn't show out this week and Henry does against a ranked opponent, it's over IMO

Eta Assuming Bama hold serve in top 4

Highly doubt Henry wins it. It's clear that LF7 isn't a lock anymore. But I don't see Henry winning over Watson (As long as Clemson stays undefeated)

Fournette still has the easier path to the heisman.

The fact that we play the Texas A&M yell team last, is a huge boon for Leonard's chances. If he gets 250+ (potential last game of the season until bowl, so he can be fed the ball hard) then this nonsensical hype machine we call the media will have him right where he wants to be.

Not if Henry responds with 150 and a few scores in a meaningful SEC champ game

How would Henry and Fournette's performances been different if they had played for the other team.

I don't see why anyone is surprised by this. It's become a "best player on best team award." Alabama is now considered the "best team" and Henry is considered their "best player". Ask Mark Ingram. He wasn't even the best player at his position the year he won the award. Yet, Alabama was the best team.

Even with his low rushing total, Fournette would still be the favorite if LSU had won the game. He could run for less than 100 yards in each of the last 3 games, but if LSU somehow wins the west (i.e. Bama loses again) he will win the trophy. Conversely, he could go for 150 in each of the final 3 games. But as long as Alabama is still the subjective "best" team. Henry would still be favored ahead of him.

Don't underestimate the laziness of the people who vote for this award.
