He always has had the size, speed, strength, and mean streak but hadn't quite put it all together.

Last night he was mainly responsible for several of our RBs big runs by obliterating his assignment.

Good eye. He plowed and planted several defenders.

Good job Josh.

Actually, his problem seemed to be he didn't have much of a mean streak, even though he is big as a mountain.

He was mauling last night and playing with attitude. Hope he keeps it up.

Or has he just been coached differently than before and now knows what he's suppose to do? If CEO has done one thing for the team, I think it's simply it so that the players execute it without having to worry about all the details that may or may not happen. This is what coaching looks like boys.

Guy was straight mauling people last night. Hell of a game by him.

Guards have to do a lot of combo blocking for a run game to work well. Essentially he has to execute an early double team then release and pick up a second player which is usually a linebacker in space. That can be a challenge since those guys are usually pretty athletic.

I was very happy for Josh last night because he was handling those jobs real well and being such a strong guy, once he gets his hands on you, it's pretty much over.

Hanagrif and McClure said they changed some of Scheming and Techniques Miles insisted on running....It was the first thing Ensminger and Grimes scrapped....line played noticeably different

After that Wisconsin game I figured he was a lost cause.

He always looked slow and lost to me, but as you pointed out it appears the light has finally clicked with him.

Brumfield looked pretty good when he came in too. Really a great all around job by our line. When you rush for 400+ yards and have multiple backs with 100+ and 3TD's the RB's should be treating the line to a steak dinner. Not that they didn't look beastly themselves. I guess whatever Grimes cooked for the O-line last week worked.
