The DL has to get better penetration across the line of scrimmage. Both on passing and running plays.

Thank you. I don't know what they called, but not getting the ends too far upfield against a very mobile qb is a pretty common strategy.

How many yards did Bama's defense allow vs LSU's defense? .....you might want to reconsider your opinion.....oh, & Bama came very close to losing to Ole Miss....

Watch mama's defense and watch ours. We do not play on the offensive side of the ball. Bama does.

Ole miss was playing in the endzone against mamma's D twice as much as against ours

Well vs. the same Ole Miss offense Bama didn't look good at all. The comparison is better looked at when comparing the defenses vs. the same offense not by weekly statistics.

Someone may have already pointed this out in the thread but after the game Booger was singing the praises of the defense on SEC Now. I think a pretty close to exact quote was. "This LSU defense has only given up 6 touchdowns all year. Offensive struggles have hidden the fact that they have been playing great defense in Baton Rouge all year long." So i think he is pretty high on our defense.

Mama's defense wasn't so good that one night. We had your sorry arse. You're like the poster child for Jerry's Kids.

Maybe we should've allowed 43 points and 522 yards of offense to Ole Miss like Booger's heros, Saban and Alabama did.

he knows they are listening and will take it as a challenge. brilliant motivational step, all the while gaining 'objectivity points" as an SEC-wide analyst...

Booger is a hack that just so happened to attend LSU and every so often sides with the Rant's consensus opinion so he's largely revered here.

Don't need a pass rush for a QB that can't throw the ball over 10 yards.

If he throws it over ten yards, it's because anDB blew his assignment and a BAMA WR has a couple steps on someone

Our pass rush does need to get a bit better before Bama game.

Booger would rather be wrong than labeled a "homer"

This is how I feel. It's obvious that he is going out of his way to show people he is not a homer.

I'll stick with my opinion. I want lsu to have the best defense out there. however, I don't see it as good as bama's.

you are focusing to much on yardage. Bama has forced turnovers and scored on them in 9 straight games. That is pretty significant. Especially since there isn't any modern history of a team accomplishing that. How do they do that? pressure. Playing on the offensive side of the ball.

When you can score defensive touchdowns, you separate the score and make offensives get out of their game plan.

I want lsu to get back to the 2011 defense. I think they are close but don't have that dominate N.G. to collapse the pocket. When they do, we will see disruption and turnovers on a more consistent basis. The scoring will go up and domination will follow. It's a talent issue not a coaching issue.

In no way is this saying Aranda isn't doing a good Job. However, I think Booger is being objective. The one thing I worry about against bama is the run game. Au and Wisconsin are the only two strong running games we have faced. We didn't fair all that well against them. Couldn't get off the field. Southern Miss ran it down our throats the first series. If we stop the run against bama, I think we will win.
