Can we get over Spencer please? Even if he stayed at LSU his eligibility would be up.

He would've been ineligible to play the 2010-2011 season due to grades. Since he is eligible to play the year for Nebraska, I'd assume he would be eligible for LSU.

well that just ignores the whole reason he isnt on the team. Why should we keep a player who can't keep his shite together.
You are assuming he would have regained eligibility without a change in scenery

He could've redshirted 2010-2011 and come back for this season. He had to get his grades together at whatever school he is at.

he struggled every season at LSU academically. Its foolish to think he would have regained it without a change in scenery. The coaches were forcing him to go to class and checking on him everyday. Not much more LSU could have done for him.
No reason to waste a roster spot on a player who doesn't want to succeed.

It isn't like he has helped turned Nebraska around...they are 11-15 after winning today, which broke a 4 game losing streak.

He was shooting 39% from the floor and 30^ from 3 range with over 12 shots a game... Do you honestly want that on this team? We have enough of those.
