Yeah, never mind the next sentence where I said PM made the smart move by not throwing the kitchen sink at them. You can't tell me PM did everything he could to win that game.

1)Pulling Lange
2)Devall
3)Stallings instead of Bugg

I wish he had gone with Bugg. But other than that, I had no problem with how this game was coached.

Bugg may have been a winning move. It wasn't coached poorly.

I'll admit I was kinda trolling with my "blame PM for the loss" but in all honesty, is losing this game really a bad thing? PM wasnt that interested in winning this game and I have no problem with that.

Win the games that really matter. This one today...meh.

You are 100% correct. CPM had an objective to win but not at all costs. Were all the marbles on the line, he would've stretched Lange and even used Poche and Bain.

Because our regional future was on the line he employed calculated pitching moves that simply didn't work.

Person not throwing strikes and pitching from behind was his undoing today

I absolutely agree. I was wanting Bugg at the end there. Without going hindsight, I actually kind of wanted Bugg to face the guy Duvall got out (was the only difference)

I think Stallings is going to have to be a guy that pitches in relief when the lead is greater than 1.

"bad" is a little strong... questionably is what I would say. Stallings has proven the last 4 weeks that he has no business being in that situation.

But there's something odd about his outings. He throws way too many damn fastballs. And that's not all on him. He may not have a changeup or a curve, but damn, just throw a different pitch sometimes. Flat and fast works on the Kansas and Princetons of the world, but not the SEC.

Exactly. I have no idea of what the (pro) is for coming out of the Winner's bracket- the day off obviously was no help.

We're probably on the same page. I know you're all in the mood to jump on and attack anybody right now because LSU lost. Just remember we're on the same side.
Wait, what? I wasn't attacking anyone.

I just don't agree with you and the overreaction to today's loss.

Inconsistent teams are not ranked first in nation in regular season. The bats were quiet, FL had good pitching, a great game to watch. Put the blame on no one - LSU lost a close game. Teams lose from time to time.

LSU pitching gave up 2 runs in 9 innings. You can't blame this loss on pitching no matter how many ways you try to spin it.

Offense simply didn't produce today. Hopefully they got that out of their system and come out banging in the regional.

Agree with this. Also, our hitting looked lack luster and half hearted most of the day and our base running hurt us. I think we lost this one mentally today but have 100% faith these guys will bounce back.

Omaha bound!

Exactly. If this is a regional game none of those things happen. I do believe if Person had pitched a clean inning yesterday, he would have brought Bugg in for the 9th.

We've had a few pitchers shut us down. Bama's Ace. Auburn's Ace, Arkansas's Ace.Lewis from Florida. Our bats are not invincible!! We could win it all or get beat in the regionals.
