I have a few valid discussions. I do keep up with LSU baseball very closely and have been around baseball more years Than I want to count right now, so I'd like to think I know the game. I have some out there statements a lot of the time but I know that, and Do it for reactions the majority of the time.
You trolled somebody that good that they follow you just for the downvote?

People take blocking a 90 mph dirt ball or a breaking ball moving a foot or more with your chest for granted.

Part of the reason why I moved to CF at 13, plus I was really fast. Even with a cup and glove, I always thought every ball in the dirt was going to hit me in the nuts. The OF was better for me anyway, I was really good at reading balls off of the bat and could cover a lot of ground.

Yeah, I stopped playing my junior year of HS because I was a lot better at kicking footballs and playing soccer, and those two were taking up most of my summers. But I've followed LSU baseball for as long as I can remember(I was 10 in 96, my cousin and I recorded every CWS game that year and 97 on a VHS, had them until Katrina), and go to as many games as I can these days, this year was my first super in person, and it was quite eventful. I didn't necessarily want to troll this guy, he just started saying some of the most retarded things I've ever read on here, and many many posters on here explained to him how he was wrong, but he hurled insults and incoherent arguments at all of us. You ever met Madking?

Can't say that I've ran into him. Is that the Neandurthal you speak of?
And yeah, made my first super this year as well. Were you there through both rain delays? I smoked a few joes, walked to get a beer and talked to some other fans to sat through it. Well worth it to me.
Have a business partner letting me use/buy his gold seats for next season and the tail end of last, even though I've just bought off of a scalper or criagslist for years, it'll be nice to have my own "spot" haha

I agree with 90% of what you posted.
I really think catchers spend more time working on defense than you think. Even though they are elite coming in, the pitchers are just getting better. It's not hard to adjust and catch a 90-95mph fastball or curveball *thats a strike*. These kids aren't all Greg Maddux. They have to practice getting ready for that Zach Hess 98mph dirt ball with men on 2nd and 3rd and a tied game. Think of the confidence they have In a catcher to throw a breaking ball with men in scoring position. That shows just how good they are at what they're doing and It's something you have to practice constantly. I've watched a fellow coach (happened to be the head coach/catching coach) throw sliders/curveballs/fastballs in the dirt at 85-90 to every catcher frosh-seniors one after another, damn near every day. I know this is excessive but it made the amount of "catchers" go from 5 to 3. And they were all 3 very reliable.
Edit. This was 5A baseball.

Yeah, that's who I'm talking about. You'll eventually run into him. And yes, I was out there Sunday night until 1:36, or whatever random time it finally ended. Didn't make it home until about 3:30. Season tickets are hard to come by, especially with a 98% renewal rate, or something ridiculous like that. I have football tickets, but I live too far to buy baseball, with all the games they play. I'm wanting to make back to BR in a few years, so I'll try then if I can convince the wife.

Let's be real, I don't think anyone could ever be ready for this, unless they knew it was coming...

How many times is a 98 mph fastball in the dirt called?

Reality is they're so their toes in that specific situation, a good college catcher like Pap could do it. Obviously without men on a fastball like that is going to the backstop
