Biggest sigh of relief: Chase TD vs Bama, or 1st Chase TD vs Clemson

I've learned towards the Bama TD as the moment a lot of LSU fans finally accepted that this team was different and was going to do great things (because how many times did we run into them with high hopes and see them crushed into dust?). But I'm rewatching the Clemson game this morning, just because, and I distinctly remembered that feeling leading up to that drive of "are we really going to shite the bed again?". I feel like I had faith that the offense would figure it out, but honestly, 2020 was the year of exorcising the demons of 2011 because I was still feeling the PTSD of 1-9.

The Clemson TD only because it was the national championship game.

It was actually the Chase catch down the far sideline vs Bama prior to the TD catch. When Burrow fit it in that window and Chase just took it out of bounds with what looked like minimal effort, I knew Bama was in for a long day.

First points scored on Bama in time, with a great play, in their house. This one for sure

EASILY the Bama TD.

We scored 1 TD against them in the previous 3 years and when we did it was like pulling teeth.

For us to score so easily on Bama like that first chase TD was a big arse gorilla coming off of every LSU fan's shoulders.

I think that 1st drive was the moment ALOT of people around the country started saying Ruh Row.

Clemson. Not even remotely close. We just didn't look like ourselves leading up to that TD

Bama. As said in basketball he "took the lid off the can" early. It was important to get the bad voodoo killed early in that game.

Bama. First because it was a “frick you” catch against our arch nemesis. Second because it was the moment I realized we could kick their arse and that this team was truly special.

Even in the beginning against Clemson I just felt like it was just a matter of time. I thought they’d come in doing some different things on D and we’d eventually figure it out. So, while it was an exciting moment, I think Bama tops it.

The 3 drives prior to the TD we had a total of 17 yards of offense. I was definitely feeling squirmy.

Bama. On the road. I never felt angst against Clemson in that dome. Was at both games.

That entire drive was the final validation that this team had broken through that 8 year ceiling. That win or lose Bama was in trouble and LSU would no longer be their whipping boy.

For me Bama. I knew we were good. But bama had stuffed us for so long, we needed to go right down the field on them out the gate and we did.

Great question. The Bama TD relieved the weight of 8 years of frustration.

The Clemson TD was on the biggest stage and we had the slowest start we had all year against a great defense. And didn't we face the biggest deficit we had all year in that first half?

It's really close, but I'll go with Bama because that one was the moment when we realized we were a legit title contender and got the monkey off our back. I had faith we'd get it going against Clemson. Had some bad luck in the first couple drives.

Chase’s touchdown on the first drive vs Bama just because of this

I’m going bama

We would’ve scored the 1st possession on Clemson if they don’t call back the moss catch

Yep. Then proceeded to outscore them 35-8.
