Ryan Perrilloux in his sophomore year and only his second start completes 67% of his passes for 243 yards and rushes for an additional 32 yards to guide a demoralized LSU team to win the SEC championship. That was a completely clutch performance by a dual-threat QB.

that'd be Mealey. and I don't know if I'd call that performance "clutch" as much as "dominant"

Faulk got hurt in that game. Rondell Mealey played most of it I think.

That was a dirty play/tackle. I have never and will never pull for Vandy again because of that. Only the Tenn. hit out of bounds on Davey was equal.

And of all teams to pull that shite.

I remember the Auburn game Mike Gottfrieds was creaming all over himself about Cecil.

matt flynn, ARKANSAS, 2007, the second half.

it was a loss, but he seperated his shoulder, got a shot in it at half time, came out and threw for 3 TDs
And then threw an interception to end the game when we needed a 2 pt. conversion to tie. That is the definition of unclutch.

After Billy Cannon raced 89 yards for his touchdown in the 1959 Halloween game, he made The clutch play that sealed Cannon's place in LSU history. This was J.C. Politz' call.....

“You should be able to tell by the cheer from the crowd if they score or not. The ball is at the two yard line. Left halfback flankered, Elmore is the quarterback...he takes, he fakes, he’s running hard he’s hit right on about the goal line....HE DOES NOT SCORE....HE DOES NOT SCORE.”

“Lynn Leblanc hit him on about the one yard line (it was actually Warren Rabb, Rabb was #12 and Leblanc # 72) with the aid of Billy Cannon and LSU takes over with 29 seconds remaining in this ballgame.”

“LSU will try to hang on to the ball, Johnny Robinson out on a flanker to the right, Rabb takes and knifes his way right up the middle of the line, he might have picked up one yard on the play, 14 seconds, 13 seconds, 12 seconds...LSU leading 7 – 3! 10 seconds, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 , 3, 2, 1 That’s the game!”

Add Ole Miss 2006 as well. Jamarcus is absolutely the most clutch QB we have ever had. The guy was money in crunch time.

You're correct. It was the Michigan State game in Indy a couple of years prior that I was thinking of. Faulk went for about 220. Turned what was a close game into a blowout.

Didn't the offense account for 13 points in that game? That's clutch, yo.
