Speaking of just in Louisiana...

Since LSU has been around longer, plus with all the winning and championship LSU teams have had in various sports, which the Saints have not had, I think the Tigers are in the majority.

Def. LSU.
Not a knock on the Saints in any way, but LSU football is like a religion in this state.

Post-Katrina...It's a tough call up here in Michigan. Shortly after the hurricane I ran in to Saints fans everywhere. Now it's more LSU (I run in to people daily telling me how much they follow and root for the Tigers). Believe it or not, they're mostly Ohio State fans who had a great time in Louisiana and loved the hospitality.

My recent non-scientific poll of observing bumper stickers and other automobile team/fan paraphernalia along both I-10 and I-49 would indicate a strong lead for LSU.
Personally, I am a fan of both teams but my heart rate gets higher during Tiger games than Saint games.

Exactly. I am ashamed to admit it, but it's true. Plus, LSU has a more obvious way to be connected to the team...going to the school. I live in Houston now, but will always take LSU with me. I can barely even watch Saints games anymore, but no big deal.

when the saints are doing good like in 06, it's about even cuz everyone is a saints fan at that point.

but that # goes way down after seasons like the past two.
