LSU will be a #4 or #5 national seed

Their stock is surging.

That one will be tough...

If we are to assume that Oregon State, UNC and Florida are 1,2,3, then that means we're competing with Louisville and Texas Tech for 4,5,6.

Texas Tech has a better resume than us at the moment. Their record v RPI Top 25 is stupid good.

The 4 and 5 are practically mirror images and the same.

It looks like right now as you said LSU, Louisville, and Texas Tech are battling for 4-6.

Then you ask would you rather face a team like Florida and North Carolina potentially once or Oregon St. only once...all of the teams in Omaha will be tested and have deep staffs.

1. Oregon St.
8. Stanford/Kentucky

4. Texas Tech
5. LSU

2. North Carolina
7. TCU

3. Florida
6. Louisville

Those would be mine right now.

I think the huge gap in SOS is the most compelling sway towards us.

I think if we can win the SEC tourney and TTU get bounced in the Big XII (they play an elimination game against WVU today), then we may get the jump on them for the 4 seed, which means we're the home team in game 1 of CWS.

Why over Texas Tech?

I'm basing it on SOS and the fact that we haven't lost in the SEC tournament yet and they are facing elimination.

If we lose, or they continue to win I flip flop them.

I personally think if we win the tournament by beating Florida at some point, we should jump them. That's my IMO.

We lost 2 of 3 at their place but we shared the SEC regular season...Feel like if we take one from them here we should be 3 or 4 above them.

Seems they might have enough trouble with MSU though.

1. Oregon State
2. Florida
3. UNC
4. LSU
5. Texas Tech
6. Louisville
7. TCU
8. Kentucky

That's my top 8 as of this moment.

Nah. Florida's resume is going to finish as the best in the nation. Oregon State's SOS will be TRASH by the time it's all said and done. I think UF has a chance at the #1 overall seed.

Ya that is pretty stout. I was thinking more a team vs. team stats, not so much the overall picture.
