I would have to say Josh Reed. I've never seen a player so dominant in his position at LSU.

Matt Mauck or Matt Flynn. Without them we have no BCS Championships. Period.

Matt Flynn falls under the Ewing Theory with JaMarcus leaving.

Jacob Hester, no doubt (talking about the college game here, not professional potential). The kid did more to contribute to the team's success than any other player I can think of......

nothing against Hester, he was a great player. but for everyone touting his all around game, do you not remember Clayton? besides the receiving plays, hell of a blocker, special teams demon, and he played safety at times.

guess it's a what have you done lately type deal.

Clayton disappeared in several games.

I cant choose between Hester and Reed, so its a tie for me.
Jacob Hester gave u everything on every play
Josh Reed had sick talent and just could not be covered. I always said if he would have went to any other team besides Buffalo he would have been a Pro-Bowl wr every year in the NFL. Rueben Randle is going to be that same type of player for us, as long as we get the Qb in place.

This is the main argument for Hester, however are you implying that other players did not give their everything on every play? Just curious cause everyone who has said Hester has said he played hard, great motor, etc....

Yeah, I remember Clayton, and he's a good pic also, but I've got to go with Hester. Jacob brought the entire team's level of performance up a notch just by being on the field....

Best LSU Football Player from 2000-2010

I don't know who the best was, but I do know which player was the biggest baby at birth among everyone who played at LSU during that time frame.

Well you know, he did have "moxie", and "played within himself". That's gotta be worth somethin

not saying the other guys neccesarily quit or took plays off, but Hester was a beast when he was running, and if he was the lead blocker he was still at the same speed and if he was in qb protection he took the fight to the pass rusher..he was 100% effort on every play, and the team fed off him..it comes down to personal choice, because LSU has had some exceptional players during that span..

Why am I not a surprised a retard who sucks off Crowton just so he can down Jefferson would think Hester is best player of the decade.
