Posted this on another thread then jumped on and saw all of the crazy posts, so putting it out there. Things aren't so bad and, frankly, LSU SHOULD refuse to play this game later in the year if it comes up again. Look at it this way:

1. Take it as another bye week. LSU is banged up as well and this gives them an extra week to get healthy. They are also installing a new offense AND defense, this helps them with that

2. Tennessee runs the table. That's a loss for Bama and A&M

3. LSU runs the table, wins West

4. LSU beats the crap out of #1 Tennessee and is the SEC Champ

best case scenario is to move the seccg back one week. whether or not that game needs to be played or not, it still doesn't hurt to have the seccg two weeks after the season ends. but, teams that are already done probably don't want to wait that extra week to find out if they make the playoffs or not.

so............

Best case scenario is that the game is played Sunday or Monday night.

Second best is that the Florida/Georgia game is moved up a week to the 22nd of October, and LSU/Florida is played on the 29th.

Any scenario where the game is not played is not the best case scenario.

Any scenario where LSU and/or Florida only gets to play 11 regular season games is not the best case scenario.

This scenario is ideal IF Tennessee miraculously beats aTm and Bama in back to back weeks.

I don't see that occuring tho.

This will absolutely screw LSU if they play it the week before the A&M game, no matter how they shuffle it. It forces them to lose the revenue from a home game (and screws the LSU ticket holders, btw), creates a murderer's row where they have to play Alabama at home then Arkansas, Florida and A&M on the road. LSU would essentially be punished for Sankey and Foley's fricked up management of this situation.

They're better off not playing it at all.

Truth, they only have to beat one and then have that team beat the other. If, say, UT beats A&M and A&M beats Bama, still works for LSU. Ole miss can still hand A&M a loss as well.

Not sure if serious. We have a new coordinator. Aranda is still implementing his changes, it will continue to build and improve as the year progresses.
