Of their 11 signees not named Harris or Jennings, the Tigers have had seven quarterbacks dismissed, transfer or not show up on campus. An eighth never played quarterback full-time: Russell Shepard, the No. 1 dual-threat QB in 2009 who was moved to receiver.

The quarterbacks who transferred under Miles include Rivers; Hayden Rettig, a California native who signed in 2013; Randall, a 2011 signee from Florida; and Chris Garrett, a Mississippian who left after signing in 2009.

Liggins didn’t show. Texan Zach Lee, part of the 2010 class, signed a Major League Baseball contract just before his freshman season, and Perrilloux was dismissed.

Five of those seven never threw a pass. In 10 years, South Carolina and Georgia had only one signee each leave without throwing a pass.

Yep. Less sucks at recruiting and developing QBs.

Good thing we pay him a lot of money.

Sure we all wish somebody paid us $4,500,000 for the QB debacle or $1,000,000 to "mentor" like Crowton. See Spot. See Spot Run. See Spot Catch.

What's really sad is we pay Cam more than we pays Crowton, and Crowton was better.

Think about how fricking depressing that is

Interesting read. The coaches continue to do the same damn thing and fail.

Either Cam is being restricted by Miles (which Crowton affirmed) and/or we have an extreme case of nepotism with Cam being such a good friend to Miles.
Either way - the BS is on Miles and it has been a chronic problem for a decade.
The QB play is simply unacceptable as it has been in most of the Miles tenure - enough already.

And he doesn't appear to truly recognize that it's an issue.

So don't look for anything to change.

Les knew the chances of Zach Lee going to play MLB were strong, and Les had zero backup plan in case that happened.

It's time to let Harris sink or swim in the next 2 games, and run most all of the offensive plays from the shotgun. It makes too much sense not to, but Les Miles is a narrow minded egotistical HC who doesn't want to look like he made a mistake. Miles also seems to have a great disdain for the fan base with his garbled unintelligible bullshite responses. So don't look for common sense to happen.

I think it's nepotism tbh.

After going .500 partway through the season, the ravens fired him, offensive production went through the roof, they didn't lose another game and won the super bowl.

It was so bad, Flacco campaigned for him to NOT be given a ring.

Cam was fired after week 14. The Ravens record was 9-4. After he was fired they went 1-2 the rest of the regular season and won 4 straight post-season.

Our offense will not improve as long as Miles is here. I've already accepted that. Last season we had all-star talent that bailed us out repeatedly. This year's offense with last year's defense would have had us last in the West.
