This is what I'm getting at. He doesn't follow through. He tries to spot place his off speed pitches by slowing down his motion. Needs consistency with all pitches if he's going to close out tight games for a team trying to get to Omaha again.

Oh shut the hell up. He's looked great all season. Blows one save and now he's terrible. Just stick to watching football.

Be real...his mechanics are frustrating to watch. Like an itch you can't scratch? Personally, my OCD will not let me watch him too much

lots of college kids slow down on their offspeed stuff- I worry more about his fastball. When you're max effort and directionally side to side like he is, if you're a tick off FB is the first thing to go, like tonight.

One bad outing doesn't mean you just stop using him though. It's a long season, you let people figure things out and have a better idea of everyone's roles at the end of the year when it matters.

they are because you see it so often with younger pitchers and it's a pretty easy fix.

Plus, it looks really ugly, even when it's going well

He leads the country in saves and gave up his first run of the season tonight. He also looked dominant against the same tema last night.

Hes had one bad outing. It happens. Something tells me we'll be ok.

I think stallings will be just fine. The first batter was bad luck and the second fouled off several good 2 strike pitches before the walk. Just not his night is all. Person did an incredible job however.

Does the ball reach the plate?

I think that means he finished the pitch. But if you are referring to his throw, he pitches with a 3/4 finish to help with the movement of his off speed pitches

We'll see what happens in SEC play. I don't wish anything bad on the kid...hope he plays well. Just don't feel confident with what I've seen.

what?

He absolutely has an issue with finishing his pitches. Doesn't mean he's bad or anything like that- but technically it is an issue. When you fall off the mound to the left you lose about 6 inches of extension which is where you 'finish' a pitch.

a 3/4 finish for movement isn't a thing

If you can do any better, then why isn't your arse out there? I'm sick and tired of you LSU wannabees putting down a team when they aren't doing well. LSU isn't perfect in any sport. Please enlighten me and list the schools that are perfect in every sport. I'm an old LSU graduate with two degrees. How many of you nambypansies ever set foot on a college campus? No player is perfect. I bet the OP wishes he could smell the jock strap of an LSU player. Hell yeah I'm mad about idiots putting up negative posts about a player when LSU isn't doing well.
