OK.... He is the greatest player in the history of basketball............ And he is so good that they might as well not even play the rest of the season cause he will lead LSU to the national title...

Geez LSU fans are hopeless..........

Point proven. People who have no arguments have to put words in other's mouths to try and reach their point.

If LSU doesn't have Simmons, we are a sub .500 team. That's his importance

All he is doing is leading the nation in rebounding, averaging 6 dimes a game and 19 points. And I assure you, we have not seen his best this year...it's coming.

Let's just hope our defense and team rebounding can catch up enough for it to matter.

It's gonna be on a bigger stage against a better team that plays much better D.

The point totals may not be as high, but the performance will exceed.

Just my prediction.

It's unfair to the kid that uneducated LSU fans thought he would drop 30 a game. He averaged like 26 in HS. I predicted he would score 16-18ppg but didn't dream he would grab 14rpg. Those rebounds will come down with Victor back, but he will almost definitely average a double double with 5-6 assists per game.

That's literally unheard of in college basketball. I don't think people realize that. If you average double digit rebounds, you may average 2 assists at most. Look at the top 20 rebounders in the country and I bet no one else even averages within 2 assists of Ben.

Yes but predictable. On the surface you see the top-ranked player who is No. 1 on every single mock draft board and if you haven't seen him play it's assumed he's a scoring machine because many equate scoring as the best measure of greatness.

But if you watched him play in high school, and I was able to see him play about 6 times on television, you knew his true value was his versatility, basketball smarts and tremendous athleticism.

I expected disappointment from some when he didn't score like Chris Jackson right off the bat and shoot like Hi-C. And there has been some of that.

It just personally irks me because Simmons is beautiful to watch. His IQ and composure are unlike almost anything I've ever seen. I saw him play in Nola and on TV and it just gets better and better.

Look at other Freshmen like Newman, AB, Skal from UK, and they all struggle somewhat or act like Freshmen...but Benny doesn't

The list of players his age and size who handle the ball the way he does and sees the game the way he does, and I'm talking historically, is very small.

The shot will come. It did for a couple of the other notable players on that short list.

May not come while he's here, but he will more than compensate for that, and has, with all else he brings.

Sorry dude... But you are better than this.....

Peej.......Simmons will be a guy in 20 years they will be saying "that guy went to LSU?" Guys that are 6'10 that can handle the ball like that are as rare as it gets. Not even Lebron because he is shorter than Ben. I've followed College ball for over 30 years and almost no one has a skill set like this guy with his size. Is he the Lebron James in the NBA right now? No. But he damn sure is as good as Lebron was when he was 18. Like I said, probably a little better in a few areas with not as good an outside shot.
