I don't think anyone is disputing that Simmons is a phenomenal player. I certainly am not. Is he one of the best basketball players to ever suit up for LSU? Absolutely. Is he one of the "Greatest Tigers Ever?" frick. No. It was apparent that he didn't care for LSU by watching his play on the court. That feeling was slammed home by the Showtime special. What a count he is. If I were picking all-time Tiger Basketball teams, I wouldn't put Ben Simmons in the Top 50. I would pick John Tudor, Geert Hammink, and Neboisha Bukimirovich over Ben Simmons' jank arse. He did nothing for LSU. He played for himself. He can go kick rocks.

Hey! This guy watched the BS’s lsu games. Welcome.

When Ben wears an LSU Jersey, comes back for a single thing or even mentions his experience positively, I’ll switch my opinion.

For now, the dude is not worth more than this post.

That’s completely false, both Martin and Mickeys stats went up the year we made it to the tourney, they didn’t sacrifice a thing as far as stats and shot attempts. Martin had more shot attempts than Simmons and way fewer assists so the sacrifice compared to ball hog falacy is plain dumb and the difference in wins between those two teams was a grand total of 3. The reason we actually went somewhere is because we had Musselman on staff. And Phili was fine until they traded for the cancer that is Jimmy Butler so this narrative that because a couple ESPN media retards started trade rumors for content, which they always do, means Simmons and not Butler is the problem is also false.

I’ll take martins 16 and 9, with scrappy defense, banging PF, no ball hog bullshite iver BS’s 19 and 11, with almost 4 turnovers a game playing point forward any day.

At least Martin could space the floor and knew how to play his position. We were a better team with Martin and Mickey than with BS and Victor.

BS couldnt play off ball to save his life. He just stood there, he had to have the ball to even give a crap. And he still cant. All diehards watched and realized he was flawed badly. Mentally he was terrfied to shoot. And he had to have the ball or he didnt care.

Get over, BS was overrated at LSU and he is overrated in the NBA. He is maxed out, and unless he learns to shoot he’ll always be a poor man’s giannis.

So first he passes too much now he’s a ball hog, Lmao and if you want to take 16 and 9 over 19 and 11 you’ll lose everytime. You’re also incorrect again about playing off the ball because in the half court he was on the block playing the same position as Martin and being much more productive in literally every single category including defense. To say a guy taken 25th with career averages of 5.6 ppg 3.7 rebs and 0.6 assists is better than the number 1 pick rookie of the year and who averages 16 ppg 8.5 rebs and 8.1 assists is about as idiotic as your entire argument. Oh yea and BTW the guy you said maxed ou is still increasing his production in every statistical category, so again what you’re saying is 100% false. Your argument is completely dishonest and verifiably insane, the fact you can’t see this proves you’re out of touch with reality arguing nothing but pure bias having not produced a single fact.

Well that just isn't true. There is way more to it than just raw stats

you do realize Martin 2.8 TO and Ben 3.4 TO is essentially the same huh? Especially when Ben had the ball in his hands WAY more than Martin. Any advance metric shows Ben was more valuable than Martin....

No there’s really not that’s why stats exist.

We can disagree about the impact Simmons made at LSU, but there's no way he and the Pistol should be discussed in the same breath.

Pete made more of an impact at LSU as a freshman playing freshman basketball than Simmons did on the varsity.

Throw in his numerous records on the varsity and Pete by far outclassed Simmons.
