Before I flush last nights game....

The performance of our beloved Tiger baseball team was a complete embarrassment to CPM and staff. Physical errors by players are acceptable. When this happens to a player during a game the coach should have the players back, and then encourage the player. I never see CPM do this for his players. What I do see is CPM turn as red as a beet almost ready to explode. How does this motivate a team????? I have no idea.
When a player make a mental mistake, that player needs his arse chewed not in front of cameras, but loud enough for teammates to hear. The two mistakes during last night game were little league totally exposing poor coaching. That's right POOR COACHING. Every practice players should hear, " NEVER GET THROWN OUT AT THIRD BASE WHEN YOU ARE BEHIND". Always get the ball in from the outfield and throw through your cutoff. Let the catcher make the call if it should be cut off. When you strike out, or even think you may have wiffed you should automatically look behind you to see if the catcher has caught the ball cleanly. The fundamentals of baseball have not been properly coached by this staff. I'm sorry to say.

Somehow I knew this would be another coach bashing thread even before I opened it.

How did we win 17 in a row if we are so poorly coached????
I might also add that those wins were against SEC teams, a regional & super regional.
It is truly FOOLISH to make a judgement based on ONE game.

This team won seventeen straight because they have more talent than any team in the nation.

So when they win, it's all on the players, when they lose, it's all on Paul?
Just to be clear, this is what you're saying?

But they knew not to make the last out at third and to hit the cutoff man before last night? Did the head coach unteach them before the game?
PM has won nearly 1400 games.
Shut up

Come on man, you should know the answer to that question.
We were lucky.

LSU base running has been horrendous for years. That's coaching. How can that be debated? If you can't trust the runner on second base that he does not run into an out. Call time, and jog his damn memory. Coaching!!! Period !!! You have no argument.

You missed the last part of my previous post. Shut up

Poche on Wednesday, and Lange on Friday. Gilbert on Saturday. I like our chances. Flush last night.

It's always fun when fans make proclamations about a team after watching them for the first time all year. Thanks, OP

You don't know what you're talking about. Negative reinforcement works just as good as handling your players with kid gloves. My coach rode me so hard but I fed off of that and it made me the best player I could have been. This sounds weird but I loved fearing him and it made me leave it all on the court!

Well, you cherry-picking sonofa...
You're taking a handful of plays that got called out on here, and running with them as if they're reflective of a systemic issue. The reason why we had, maybe what some would consider, a larger number of people thrown out at home is because the coaching staff is aggressive on the base paths. One was maybe too aggressive, and he's no longer coaching.
Were you pissing and moaning when they were running all over FSU? Was that also coaching?
We were 4th this year in stolen bases this year, tied for first in 2016, first in 2015. That certainly seems like "horrendous" base running to me...

Just curious...
Did it take you almost 24 hours to get so frustrated to post this?

Let me guess that only applies to the coach right.....cause it seems like this board has become real OK with shitting on players over the last 24 hours.

RumbleRaider, you watch a different game then I do. I believe last night game was a complete embarrassment to LSU baseball. Pat Casey could take hissum and beat yourssum, and take yourssum and beat hissum. A well coached team stops the bleeding, and makes the opponent earn each run. LSU did not show up. To me, that is a reflection of the head coach.
