Maybe JL got hurt vs. Alabama. You know Miles does not like to disclose information like that. Why don't y'all shut up and let him coach?

I say if LSU goes 13 and 0...for the championship game run the wishbone! No one would ever expect that.

Or, as I stated a few weeks ago...Run Brad Wing in the Wildcat with JL and JJ both in the game.

Miles has a plan and it will work, leave it to the mad hatter. He is a genius.

If I were Miles, and I'm not, but if I were, and had just beaten Alabama and was looking at back to back bye weeks before Arky then Georgia, I'd be slinging some monkeywrenches as well. Here's my take... Les now knows what it means to have to prepare for an atypical offense, having had to gear up all offseason for Oregon. Lsu responded well, but perhaps he feels like other teams won't. What I mean is that by showing that JJ isn't just a gimmick, AND by starting him in several games, teams have less time to effectively prepare. After Alabama AND WKU when JJ started, teams are going to have to spend time preparing for our option game (fock me, never thought I'd say THAT...) as well as a middle of the road passing attack, and power running. That split time is a huge advantage, particularly vs Arky, where they don't have extra time to prepare. Assuming JL gets good mop up time in to keep sharp and get his head back where it needs to be, it's a huge advantage for Lee himself when he is needed.

At this point, that's the best reason I have for continuing to start JJ this week vs Ole Miss. I'm not saying I would prefer that it happen, but if I was mad like a fox, that'd be my reasoning. At some point you have to think that either guy can go out and win (WKU) and Ole Miss, so why not make things easier on your guys by F'ing with the other teams?

Like all good football coaches, and make no mistake about it Les Miles is a damn good football coach, Les has a season plan. He doesn't lurch from one week to the next.

Now that I have calmed down a bit, I can see the logic in CLM giving JJ the start. Let him get out there and put a full game under his belt, work on some techniques, give our future opponents something to have to game plan for. Still not happy with the decision but it is starting to make a whole lot more sense.

The key to the hurry up is no substitutions and quickly getting set so the defense cannot sub either. Subbing a quarterback in and out means the defense also gets the right to substitute players. So you've essentially removed your ability to run "hurry up" by subbing a player. But you knew that already and this thread is one big troll job..........right......?
not if they are both in the game. That would also explain why they were both running both offenses

in the recent past, when the team needed to move the ball in a short time, JL ran the team. even last year when he never started, he got to run the team in the 2 minute (or less) drill.

That was (and maybe still is) because JL could pass better (most of the time).

With any luck, Ole Miss will be another practice game for both QB's and they can each run the opposite QB's plays, as happened in WKU game, with JL sprinting out and JJ passing a lot.

I feel like the fact that both QB's were NEEDED, to practice the hurry up vs the Oregon Ducks, got them both ready. Thank goodness JL was ready for Oregon.

Why would CLM deviate from what's working? If LSU goes undefeated, there's absolutely no reason to change what's worked.

Good God.

I doubt it's baseless. I saw some players in class today that I didn't know were even in the class. And one of our players of the future stayed more than 15 minutes today for the first time all year.

There ya go! It would be mass chaos for whatever defense we face. I can't think of another team that would have this luxury!

So you're saying that if we get to 13-0 and play for the MNC, we should change everything that got us to 13-0 to run a scheme we've never run before, because it would be easy to score on the confused defense? Oh. My. God.
