Unbelievable. I now see why so many LSU players keep transferring. Paul clearly plays favorites and gives no one else a shot.

This move also takes a huge hit in our range in the outfield

Sorry your son is on the bench.
Don't agree with the move, specifically Beau Jordan in LF, but idk who he's showing favoritism to? Our team has been dog shite lately at the plate. Changing it up.

Need more ground outs to second instead of pop outs in foul territory at the top of the order, I guess.

Radio pregame said that CPM didn't think Watson would fare well against crafty lefty.

This is a 1 game deal and I expect Watson will start next 2.

You don't have a problem with benching Watson?

Beau gets a lead off hit and LSU gets 2 runs with still only 1 out and this thread goes silent.

Some coaches subscribe to the theory that doing that (having leadoff type hitters batting 1st and 9th) effectively gives you two leadoff hitters at the "top" of the lineup. After the first inning that is.

Are you saying if we win 12-0, it's because Beau started leadoff?

No just thought it was funny everybody is bashing the move but so far it has worked. Are we just going to pretend that at this point of the season you need a desperation move to see if it sparks your team. Not saying it will but can't be mad at the man for trying something different.

The guy with arguably the worst plate discipline is leading off. Incredible.

Kramer discipline ain't all that either. Not that I think either should lead off

People are bashing the move because they're saying it looks desperate. You, too, are calling it a "desperation move". This isn't meant to be a spark and it's not out of desperation. PM just thinks that Beau would be a better hitter vs this starter than Watson. And Watson will likely start the rest of the week. You calling him a liar?
