Just a word to the wise to those who question this teams abilities, and their resolve.
This is a good team...
The defense has progressively gotten better from game to game. To the point that they are almost dominant again. Which I think they cross that threshold this weekend against Auby.
Thus far, the offense has been anemic, but has the weapons to explode at any moment.
This team holds their destiny in their own hands. They're quietly sneaking around the hen-house, flying under the radar. And, I am content with where we are. I think this situation is about the best that we could hope for to this point. If we can find a way to beat Auby, and I think we will, we will have won 2 out of the three games in this tough stretch. During the off-season, I think most fans expressed that they would be happy to have won 2 out of the 3 games in this stretch.
Still some tough games to go, but I think LSU has a chance to win them all.

People should be optimistic with a team that can improve so fast, especially on D. Not very many other teams oculd do that in such a short time. Sometimes it takes years for teams to turn those things around. LSU coaches and talent level = +1

The season starts this SATURDAY!

I agree statestreet. If the offense can improve like the defense has, we will be tough to beat.

only 4 teams control their own destiny and we're one of them

Good post, inbred tiger.
I think you're right, this team can win out if the offense improves just a little each game.

You're right on the money. Tired of all the negative posts going around. Let's get positive.

if only wishing and being positive could make it come true.
after seeing the progress of the defense i was optimistic about this team's chances of winning the west.
But the weakness of the team is qb. not a knock on a young kid. realistically, i don't see how you can project he is going to turn things around this year.
i hope and wish that he would.

Defense is good enough to keep LSU in all remaining games.
