What is the best option for paid parking close to the interstate near the Superdome?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

here is a map to free parking.
(But there is plenty of paid parking, but here you are closer than most other people)
From I-10 exit Carrolton, but stay on like you are getting back on the interstate.(meaning when you exit you will have three options, Tulane, Carrolton and I-10, take I-10 option though you are not getting back on you are just taking the Xavier/Howard exit) Then exit Howard.
Stay on Howard (its a service road) and turn under the second overpass.
You will see a white cab where you need to turn, this cab has been there all year. You need to turn under the center of the overpass.
Take a left at the stop sign(it's easy to miss, look for a on ramp on your left, that is your target)
and an immediate left again onto the on ramp. This is South Broad.
Take the first right(an off ramp) and you are on Poydras. Drive up to Galvez and take a right.)You can park this area for free, or pay people. But I have never paid to park.
An alternative is to get to Earhart and park around Earhart and Claiborne..
(right click and open in new window to see at full size)
This route is the fastest route to the dome period.
If you follow the red line it will bring you to the dome garage.
Also there are quite a bit of pay options in this area too. The benefit is it is very easy to get back to the interstate, and secure enough to leave your car there and take a cab into the the quarter and come back later if you wish.

yeah we went to the falcons game last monday on the top of a parking garage. Waited for an hour and of course by the time we got out of there it looked like a ghost town.

It's best to not park in a garage or too close to the dome if you want to get out quickly.
