Way too many point guards in that lineup. You need to take out Charlie and insert Zach Kinsley

South, you think Epps beats out Combs?

Personally yes.
Everytime Coach speaks he goes out of his way to praise Epps and how hard he's working.
The starting lineup doesn't look vastly improved but the depth absolutely does. Coach Wade is known for playing lots of players lots of minutes so IDK how much it really matters if you start or not.

Best guess -
Waters
Onwuasor
Sampson
Combs
Reath
with these guys in the rotation -
Mays
Edwards
Epps
Kiir
Rachal? Alexander?
Waters is too talented to keep down for too long. Maybe Mays starts out as the default starting PG but by conference play I expect Waters to overtake him/
Will be interesting to see how Rachal and Alexander fit in. Could see either of them in the wing rotation. Big man depth is extremely thin, so Kiir and Epps will play a lot.

Wade says he likes to play 2 PGs. Don't be surprised to see them both starting.

That's pretty solid reasoning.
My only counter point would be that at times Reath got out muscled for rebounds last year and Combs is an aggressive rebounder which would complement reath a little better.
But as you alluded to, Coach Wade plays 8-10 guys regularly so it really wouldn't matter who starts and who comes off the bench. all our bigs should get minutes together.

This. Could see Onwuasor starting a few too.

This is a very reasonable thought line. Wade has made such a strong point to get these guys stronger. He said coming in he liked alot of the guys we had here but we all needed to get a lot stronger to compete. The offseason workouts have looked to build muscle which should really help around the basket.
If Epps can not rebound, he will not play. That I can 100% agree with. So putting him in starting lineup really depends on if he can prove to be a rebounding stretch 4.

So he's going to reward the 4 guys that managed to stay around by starting them instead of starting the best 5? I don't see Wade as a guy that cares about tenure and will put the guys out there that put us in best position to win.

I have no earthly idea. Though I do think Waters will be coming off the bench as a spark plug, atleast for a while anyway.

I don't see Osunwar and Combs NOT starting. Both are grad transfers who I'm certain wouldn't have signed to play one season at LSU if they didn't have significant assurances they would be in the starting line up. It just doesn't make sense for them to transfer somewhere for one year only to come off the bench.
Epps will play a lot out of necessity because LSU has very little size in the froncourt (only 4 players 6'7+), but I don't see him starting.
To me, the only real question is who starts at PG. Waters or Mays? Regardless, both are going to play a lot.

I always thought the bigger issues with Epps was his inability to play defense and consistent offense. His defense seems to suffer due to strength and being unable to guard inside and not really being quick or technically sound enough to guard a 3. As for his offense, I know someone posted about him having a higher 3 pt. avg. than most would assume he would have (myself included), but he isn't consistent enough outside and not strong enough inside. Obviously if the conditioning has taken with him, then a lot of that can change. Do you think they will be able to develop him enough to be a better defender and more consistent offensive threat?

Probably Waters. He's been killing the summer workouts. I think Onwuasor starts a few games but he'll be our main scorer off the bench.

Epps and Reath together is not good.
