Well CJJ is still the coach. we are making incredibly stupid plays in the clutch, we can't rebound when it matters and...this is Northern fricken Florida!

#11 on North Florida might be the worst Division I basketball player i've seen. Why does he even play

He can't dribble for shite. He's the kid in little league that the other team steals the ball from every time.

A win is a win, but damn it was sloppy. Seeing some nice offense from Epps, but his D is still weak. Getting Victor back will be nice.

The definition of insanity, according to Einstein, is doing the same thing over and over and yet expecting a different outcome...duh.....

My conclusions from this game. Feel free to have your own.

1. For now Patterson has won the point guard battle and should start. His experience shows and for some reason Mays shows very little enthusiasm or hustle out there.

2. Duop is still our best player but CJJ needs to sit him down and explain to him that if the ball goes in to him and he is double teamed he needs to kick it back out to a guard.

3. Epps needs to play at the top of key or at the high wing on offense. He shoots much better from there than the corner. He also needs to take more shots.

4. Blakeney needs to let the game come to him and not force it so much. And what is up with the free throw shooting?

5. Interior defense still sucks and Elbert will be playing a lot more than I thought just because he is so big, fills up space and gives us five more fouls that hopefully keeps Reath in the game.

6. This team has one chance to win a fair number of games. They have to be fired up, hustling on defense and using that to get the break going.

Yea as of right now it will be hard to win many games with tone having a bad night. Hopefully Sampson keeps helping carrying the load and Victor makes our down low solid

1. I couldn't disagree more. Mays playing style and personality may appear as non hustle our enthusiasm but he is the true PG LSU needs. He has the skills and our offense struggled without him running it at the end of the first half. I still haven't figured out why he sat so much today.

3. I have my thoughts on epps but it's more to do with the lack of low post bodies.

4. Blakeney was not good tonight.

5. Our defensive low post presence is non existent. Our only hope that our guards on the ball defense can help prevent some entry passes.

Gonna be a long year Lord help us when we play good teams. Man we need Victor's toughness bad.
Hey wait a minute there. The resident Rant LSU BB Pumpers just told us all that the team was going to be "Much Improved" this season without Hornsby and the two self-centered trouble makers that departed for the NBA................

Note that I said right now that's the way I see it. Mays will still get lots of playing time to show us he is the superior player. Didn't see him play in high school so will take your word that he just doesn't look fired up but really is. He hides it very well. As for today's game - in 16 minutes Mays had 3 assists, 3 turnovers and no steals. In 27 minutes Patterson had 8 assists, 2 turnovers and 1 steal. So he really did do the better job today. Doesn't mean he will repeat that in the next game but I still say he earned a start.

Maybe a little bit better. But this team suffers from the same ailments of every Johnny Jones team. Horrid defense in every way, poor shot discipline, 3-4 men standing around on every halfcourt possession, etc. I like our guard depth and Reath has been a pleasant surprise. Getting Victor back and plugging Jenkins in could help mask some deficiencies but this could also be a long year

Well I have stated numerous times they will be better than people think. Coming into the season, people were saying LSU would finish 12-13th in the SEC.

Also, I like JP, and he put up good assists tonight, but we need Mays. Mays is the best creator we have. At least 4 of JP's assists were passing to a wide open person who just made a jump shot. Stats can sometimes be deceiving. But the short leash that Mays is on is utterly absurd.
