As a person who grew up in deridder I think 2 coaches on the staff from deridder would be hilariously awesome

Correct measurements but wrong position. He was an incredibly smart player to stay 10 years in pros at 6'6. Played center for Larry Brown's UCLA team that made final four

I try and give you guys the inside on the program but if you dont want it then thats fine. Mark my word, Chris Oney will join RL and KM on this staff and from I just found out Oney signed a transfer from St. John's to Grambling who only played half of a 15 games and will be a 2nd rd draft pick and forgoing his last yr, so it seems like he has some connections and an eye for talent.... Good luck to the new coach and staff. good bye

If everyone thinks we are gonna flip Gathers in a matter of days might help to have someone who has a relationship with him as well.

This is very key, IMO.

I wonder if Charlie Leonard is coming with Jones? That would be a good addition, too.

No, which is why the original post makes no sense.

I would be really happy for him but I feel a
D league HC position to asst is a lateral move
However Randy loves LSU

He's never going to be an NBA coach or anything.

He's getting older. He might just want to come home.

He could definitely get on an NBA staff and he's just in his late 30's not really old.

Article just went up on TSD with direct quotes from Randy Livingston. More than just interested in the job, he's basically begging for it. Looks extremely likely.

Yeah, he's not too old. However, I think returning home would mean a lot to him. We shall see, I guess.

It's the natural progression. Successful D-League coaches like Quin Snyder and Chris Finch, for example, got jobs for NBA teams.

TSD

Free article on Livingston. Also says Brent Scott wants to stay and Bob Starkey will remain in the women's game.
quote:

From Livingston:

“I’m excited for Johnny and think LSU has made a great hire,” Livingston said Friday evening shortly after Jones’ hiring became official. “There’s no doubt I would love the chance to come back home and see if I could help the program.

“I’d love the chance to come back and work for Johnny.”

I think he'd be a good addition to the staff.

Livingston, Scott, Leonard, etc.

Names like that.

I just can't see Scott staying. Maybe for a year, but he'll be gone after next year.
