Not just LSU Basketball but college basketball in general.

The NCAA has changed the rules to favor offense big time. Defense is no longer emphasised.
The o l d days of UNC and Dean Smith with the 4 corners. Those teams could wear down a defense with ball handling that simply doesnt exist today.

The shot clock is a terrible idea and truthfully so is the 3 point shot.

Cylinder violations are almost never called but happen in every game. Hanging on the rim is not only allowed but actually glamorized. They have even developed a "break away" rim to accomodate what should be a turnover.

Pushing off, travelling, carrying the ball and 5 second violations just are never called.

They have turned an organized sport into a "street ball" version which should be reserved for city parks and The "Y".

Then they allowed players to just play one year college basketball before entering the NBA draft. There isno real experience in college basketball anymore due to the players leaving.

I understand that the younger fans cant related but this game that is played today is like comparing WWE or WWF to true wrestling or comparing "T ball" to baseball.

When you change the basic rules of the game something is lost. Basketball is just not the same game that it was and I miss the true game of basketball.

I hear you, but the alternative was players jumping to the NBA after high school or going overseas.

I still enjoy it. Maybe because I never played organized basketball and don't get all the nuances. My dad played, and is the son of a coach. He has many of the same complaints you do.

Basketball in general with the way it is played. The NBA is even worse.

always been a football fan but thirty years ago I thought college basketball was the best sport going. I could watch almost any college basketball game. I liked no shot clock. the worst thing was the 3 point shot.

remember when you used to play 2 guards, 2 forwards and a center. forget that anymore.

it isn't basketball. it's a glamorized version of professional wrestling.

and I say let the kids go direct to the pros instead of this 1 year crap.

Well said! It has become very unappealing in general.

Yep! Each college game I try to watch reminds me of why I never watch the NBA. I can't stand more than a half of most college games.
When a player drives the lane and uses his off arm to stiff arm the defender, then the official calls a foul on the defender, its time to find a hobby that makes some sense.
That happened to Victor in the Arkansas game.
Its a crappy game and very little contest except officially determined by officials.

Sucks for the NBA that the NCAA doesn't allow seniors out of HS to enter the NBA draft

amen. the game lost me too. basketball was once known as a "non contact" sport. ha-ha. as far as college ball goes let the kids that plan on only staying one year go pro or overseas. they sure shouldn't be playing at a college. a college is a place of higher learning and at least players should make a show of being in school.

and what happened to the nba minor leagues? that's where players should go instead of college.

y'all can get mad at me all you want, but ben simmons will never be LSU to me. he's a hired gun, not a college basketball player.

i'm really curious what are the issues these guys have with the NBA

-the thug era is over. this:

is now this:

-ugly, iso basketball is pretty much dead. that style dominated the 90s (after the bad boys stopped showtime)

this is the kind of ball movement and passing you see today:

look at the increase in pace
