Has there been any movement on hiring assistants with the recruiting period approaching? I know Wade mentioned in the press conference he would have a full staff before then.

Last I heard was that he was most likely to bring in Heath Schroyer, who formerly was a head coach at Wyoming and Tennessee-Martin and was on Gottfried's staff at NC State, and Shyrone Chatman, who's from BR, played and coached for Calipari at Memphis and was on UMass' staff this past year as the lead assistant, as his other two guys.

But that was a week ago. I don't know what he's got now.

I hope Shyrone doesn't leave UMass to come here, he doing so well up there, no need to come back home. Great coach and guy. Salute

If he is a great coach and guy, why wouldn't you want him at LSU?

Good answer & question sir.........

Detractors are cloaked in all manner......

Why should he even express this, unless he is...........

Umass hired a new coach and Shyrone was not retained.

Shyrone has a good relationship with Javonte Smart. Would be a good La hire

Based on what I heard tonight I think it's Schroyer and Chatman.

But I could very well be wrong.

I'd like that. Schroyer has some good experience and Chatman could help us big time in '18 recruiting. He landed Jarreau and Gresham + got Smart to make an unofficial visit up there. Unless all these instate 4*s next year just do not want to play for LSU, these hires could have us going 3/3 on those guys.

I think there is guys with better resume's than Livingston. Chatman would fill the Louisiana flavor just as well with much more coaching and recruiting experience.
