What must this team accomplish to get to CWS & survive 1st game?

Win a regional, win a super regional, win the first game

This pretty much sums it up. Just my opinion, of course.

This team needs to find relief pitching, solidify the lineup, hit better with risp.

Don't we say that every year? What team in the country has it all figured out right now? The bull pen is looking better each week. The lineup is still inconsistent but when they're on, they're on. Baseball is all about momentum and getting hot at the right time. This team has the ability to beat anyone in the country. I'm confident they'll put it together and make a run to Omaha. If Walker continues pitching well and Hess becomes more consistent we will have something we haven't had in a long time - a 3rd and 4th starter.

The key is scoring more runs in a game then you give up.

The only way this team makes it to Omaha is if Lange and Poche carry it there. These guys will have to pitch 7-8 innings every outing to win. Paul has his favorites and they are gonna play. You've got a hole at catcher, batting .240 & is now going back. To switch hitting, he's defense has been hot&cold.
He's finally moved duplantis to left. Your 5&6 hole protection from deichman are true freshman. And the bullpen is a hot mess, especially losing Newman and Norman. Other than Gilbert who down there do you have confidence in to get outa at the end of a game. Your about to see with conference play.

Not lose to McNeese and UNO

Learn how to score the runner at 3rd with only one out.
That includes trying something besides the batter swinging for the fences.

Lange and Poche will carry this team. If Walker and Hess can pitch consistently well, this team will be dangerous in the postseason. Hitting will be good enough. I would like to see more bunting to be honest. Could've helped against UNO if I remember correctly.
Catcher is a weak spot. But who has looked better than Pap? I haven't seen Coomes enough but Romero hasn't hit the ball good at all and he's had his chances. Pap might be the best option right now.
I think Bain is a reliable arm and Reynolds seems to be improving and has a lot of experience. Gilbert will be the closer while Newman is out. Peterson has a lot of potential if he can throw strikes. Beck has been a pleasant surprise. I really like what I saw from him the other night. I think he can contribute some valuable innings.
My point is this team is far from a train wreck. They've got the pieces to make a run in Omaha, just need to put it altogether. And CPM has a good history of making the right changes mid season (remember Austin Nola in 2009?). I think putting Watson in CF is a great move. Not saying this year won't be a huge disappointment b/c you never know what can happen but I think there's a much better chance of this team making a late run once they put it altogether.

Win the battleground states of Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Win a regional and a super regional. Score more runs than their opponent in Game 1.
