Lsu and ULL have had some pretty good games over the years. ULL isnt a bad baseball school. It sucks that we lost. The only thing that scares me, they didnt exactly throw there best pitcher either. They started a True Frosh, im suprised they scored 10 though, they struggled to score 3 against Ark ST.

TigerGreg,
Yes, Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College (LSU A&M @ Baton Rouge) did play the University of Louisiana @ Lafayette. Who gives two shits about names buddy. It was a good win for UL. Bad for LSU. UL/LSU plays one more time this year and I know it can go either way. and we all know how things will go for the football game. However, LSU needs to focus on other things other than UL...

Our base running killed us tonight. If Landry doesn't try to force a double, he's safe on first and comes in two batters later to put us up. We left a lot of men on base again tonight and weren't aggressive when we could've been.

The team played hard and just got a little too deep to pull it out. Hope we crush them in the Pontiff classic.

Kids gonna be good, I agree. But Osborne and Cook have had great starts, but Southern Miss lit them up. So that kinda screwed up there stats.

yeah, I know. Personally I think Cook is their best guy, but like I said, Fuselier has been the most consistent. I think he will do very well for them, on the hill and at the plate.

That true freshman, Fuselier, is their #1 or #2 pitcher. It was his 3rd start this season (tied #1 on the ULL team) and he is #2 on the ULL team this season in innings pitched with 17.1. He is a two-time Louisiana All State pitcher (4A) and was a member of the Louisiana All-Stars who played in numerous tournaments across the USA, including the Junior Olympics.

As for LSU, we started Cain, who gave up 3 runs today. It was his first start in four years as a Tiger. This season, Cain is the #11 LSU pitcher with 4 innings pitched. Last year, Cain was our #10 pitcher with 19 innings (compare that to the true frosh Fuselier of ULL, who has already pitched 17.1 innings this season, #2 on the ULL team, and has already started 3 games this season, tied #1 on the ULL team).

The other LSU pitcher that got lit up today was the walk-on freshman Matthews, who gave up 5 runs. Matthews is the #9 LSU pitcher with 4 innings pitched this season.

No, he isn't our #1 or #2 pitcher. Our number 1 is Zach Osborne and our number 2 is Mike Cook. Hell he's not even our number 3 right now, Greg Wilborn is.

Yea, the only reason he has so many innings stacked up is because he takes his midweek starts and proves himself to the coaching staff that he can pitch.. before long he may be in the weekend rotation, but for now... he's our midweek guy. It's not like we plucked out our Friday or Saturday Ace to throw at you guys... he's our midweek starter... and he's doing pretty damn good so far.

Honestly though, it was a hell of a game and definitely worth the trip from Lafayette. Even if LSU would have pulled off the comeback and beat us... I'd still be saying it was a great game. It was exciting the entire time.

Coleman's change up is disgustingly good. When he came in, I turned to my girlfriend and said... we aren't going to hit this guy.. and I was right lol.

But anyway... beautiful stadium, it's really badass.

The stadium is huge and all but I think I prefer the old Alex Box stadium to this one.

Yeah, Zach Osborne and Greg Wilborn and Mike Cook are all tied with the true frosh Fuselier for #1 on the ULL team with most starts (3 each). Next-best is the two guys with 1 start each (Wascom and Chapmen).

You could argue which of those guys is #1 or #2, but all four are the main four starters for ULL, right?

As for innings pitched this season:
#1 - Zach Osborne (19.1)
#2 - the true frosh Fuselier (17.1) -- STARTED VS LSU TODAY
#3 - Mike Cook (15.1)
#4 - Greg Wilborn (15)
#5 - Wascom (13) -- PITCHED VS LSU TODAY
#6 - Haagen (11.1) -- PITCHED VS LSU TODAY
#7 - Wagley (8.2) -- PITCHED VS LSU TODAY

Those are all four of the pitchers that pitched for ULL against the LSU Tigers today

That's because those are the only pitcher we will be pitching this year. Don't fault us for having our midweek starter set.
